confraternity of the rosary

I just joined the confraternity, since I pray a rosary (5 decades) daily, why not. Here’s my question: under the usual conditions, can I now earn a plenary indulgence for reciting my rosary (again 5 decades) privately instead of publicly. EWTN’ s web site says yes. The individual confraternity websites do not state you can, but they quote the enchidron of indulgences which says you can in a “pious association”. Does membership in the confraternity count as a pious association.

Pax Christi!

Fellow member! God bless you for joining!

I would be flabbergasted were I to learn that the Archconfraternity of the Most Holy Rosary is not a pious association of the faithful.

Believe that it is, and pray on, my brother!

Again, God bless!
