conventual Mass

What is a conventual Mass? I just ran across this term in something I was reading, and there was no explanation.

Very specifically, a “conventual Mass” is a Mass celebrated for the nuns or sisters in a convent. The Mass on EWTN for years was a conventual Mass because it was for the nuns there. It is no longer a conventual Mass because the nuns have moved to a new location.

A conventual Mass is a Mass said at a monastery or convent, at which all the religious monks/ nuns/ friars participate in.

Can a conventual Mass be offered either as Novus Ordo or Traditional Latin Mass?

That would depend on the monastery or convent.
