Conversion of David Cameron.

Let us pray for the conversion of David Cameron to Roman Catholicism.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.

Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

**Night is falling dear Mother, long day is o’er;
Before thy image I am kneeling once more
To thank thee for keeping me safe this day,
To ask thee this night to keep evil away.

Many times have I fallen Mother dear;
Many graces neglected since last I knelt here;
Wilt thou not in pity, my own Mother Mild,
Ask Jesus to pardon the sins of thy child?

I am going to sleep now, day’s work is done;
Its hours and its moments have passed one by one.
God Who will judge me, has counted them all;
He has numbered each grace, He has counted each fall;

In His book they are written against the last day.
Oh! Mother Ask Jesus to wash them away.
For one drop of His Blood for sinners was spilt,
Is sufficient to cleanse the world of its guilt.

And if er’ the dawn I should draw my last breath;
The sleep I take be the long sleep of death;
Be near me Mother for dear Jesus’ sake.
When at eternity shore my soul shall awake.

Amen. **

I don’t know who David Cameron is :confused: but if you’re asking for his conversion, than he must be acting like a real piece of work. God bless him, and you too.

Prayed. :byzsoc:

David Cameron is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and as with any politician, there will be those who agree with and oppose him.

He is not, however, “a piece of work.” From all indications, he appears to be a decent man.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!

Jesus, I trust in You!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You!

Amen.

I will pray as hard as I can that he and his elitist cohort are never elected again

**Blessed Virgin Mary,
who can worthily repay you with praise
and thanks for having rescued a fallen world
by your generous consent!
Receive our gratitude,
and by your prayers obtain the pardon of our sins.
Take our prayers into the sanctuary of heaven
and enable them to make our peace with God.

Holy Mary, help the miserable,
strengthen the discouraged,
comfort the sorrowful,
pray for your people,
plead for the clergy,
intercede for all women consecrated to God.
May all who venerate you
feel now your help and protection.
Be ready to help us when we pray,
and bring back to us the answers to our prayers.
Make it your continual concern
to pray for the people of God,
for you were blessed by God
and were made worthy to bear the Redeemer of the world,
who lives and reigns forever.

Amen. **

Please - why do you wish us to pray for this?

David Cameron is the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party. He is an Anglican (i.e. Church of England).

**O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel,
Fruitful Vine,
Splendour of Heaven,
Blessed Mother of the Son of God,
Immaculate Virgin,
assist me this my necessity.
O Star of the Sea,
help me and show me herein you are my Mother.

O Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Queen of Heaven and Earth,
I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart,
to succour me in this necessity;
there are none that can withstand your power.

O, show me herein you are my Mother,
O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to thee.
O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to thee.
O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Sweet Mother,
I place this cause in your hands.
Sweet Mother,
I place this cause in your hands.
Sweet Mother,
I place this cause in your hands.

Amen.**

Joining you in prayer …

It would make me shudder if he shared my religion. There are Catholic members in that government who are notoriously harsh and in my mind uncharitable ego maniacs

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

**O glorious Apostle, Saint James,
who by reason of thy fervent and generous heart
was chosen by Jesus to be witness of His glory on Mount Tabor,
and of His agony in Gethsemane;
thou, whose very name is a symbol of warfare and victory:
obtain for us strength and consolation
in the unending warfare of this life,
that, having constantly and generously followed Jesus,
we may be victors in the strife
and deserve to receive the victor’s crown in heaven.

Amen. **

Our Father, Who art in heaven,

Would Catholics be offended if we Lutherans prayed for them to be converted to Lutheranism? :smiley:

As a Lutheran and before that a Baptist, I’m not familiar with this kind of prayer for someone to be converted from another kind of Christianity. But I am curious about this practice.
