Coronation

Does anyone have any high resolution art of the Coronation of the Blessed Mother, ever Virgin?

I found this one (not high-res) and its by an unknown author.

Happy Divine Mercy Sunday!

Try doing a Google Image search for “Coronation of the Blessed Mother”, there are a bunch that come up and might meet your needs. Be careful of copyright laws though, depending on what you choose to do with the image.

Here’s a really nice one that I like (my absolute favorite!), though I’m not sure if the resolution is high enough for you.

Thats stunning. Who is the author?
God Bless

I honestly couldn’t tell you who the painter was. I just don’t know. A huge copy of it used to hang in my old parish I was raised in. I always loved that painting. I wish I had a larger version of it.

The painter you are looking for is Diego Velasquez and is from circa 1641-42.

Other paintings on the Coronation are:

The Coronation of the Virgin circa 1480 by Sandro Botticelli

The Coronation of the Virgin circa 1453 by Enguerrand Quarton

The Coronation of the Virgin circa 1430-32 by Fra Angelico

The Coronation of the Virgin circa ??? by Domenico Ghirlandaio

*The Coronation of the Virgin circa *??? by El Greco

The Coronation of the Virgin circa ??? by Bicci Lorenzo

Coronation of the Virgin circa ??? by Michele Giambono

Any good art website will have prints of these.

Thank you so much!

Under “1641-1650” you will find a larger version than the one I supplied. Magnificently beautiful!
