Counter reformation

Luther, Calvin, Huss, and Zwingli are the well known reformers, but who were the counter reformers? And could you recomend some books/articles that I could read about these people?

I just came into the Church this Easter and am hungry for history. I feel my protestant upbringing starved me of this.

Also one side note: Was Blaise Pascal Catholic or protestant?

Thanks and God Bless,
Ken

A good article to read that will tell you about those involved in the counter-reformation can be found on line in the Catholic Encyclopedia:[LIST]
