We get a lot of dew, allowing surface vegetation to grow, and stuff that doesn’t require much moisture. Our rainy season is Nov or Dec or Jan or Feb or Mar, but it’s sporatic. More rain than usual last year, and stuff grows fast.
Thus, during the time it rains, the probability is lower and when it doesnt, it’s higher.
Also depends on wind. Sometimes we get a strong dry “Santa Anna” wind from eastern desert regions, making things worse. They are fighting that condition in the current fire.
