Defending the Church from claims of misogyny

#1

The argument that only men can receive Holy Orders because Christ only ordained men as priests and apostles is acceptable to other Christians. But how do you defend Jesus from being sexist to non-Christians? I attempt to argue that men and women are not the same, but then they pull the “separate from equal” card.

Any help?

People who make such an assertion, that the Church is misogynist or use other pejorative terms, will not be open to learning and are not interested in theology or truth. The best advice is to ignore them.

On the other hand, for those who really are interested, there are some very good Church documents available. As this topic has been discussed to death on these forums a quick search will turn up some threads. Try the key word “priestess”.
