Did LUTHER believe that Mary was forever a VIRGIN?

“It is an article of faith that Mary is Mother of the Lord and still a virgin.”

-Martin Luther, Works of Luther, Vol. 11, pp. 319-320; Vol. 6, p. 510. As cited in Fr. Frank Chacon and Jim Burnham, Beginning Apologetics 6: How to Explain and Defend Mary, p. 18 (emphasis added).

Here’s an article on Martin Luther and Mary.

Thank you. I looked one up also and found this which was very helpful.

I was talking with a Lutheran that believed Mary had other children and I told him that I thought even the founder of his religion, Martin Luther, believed that Mary was ever virgin.

This helps a bunch!
peace, justin
