Discerning employment

Hello everyone,
I’m a college student and I’m discerning either to remain as a Volunteer Firefighter or get a job; as I do not have time for both. Please pray that God guide me and show me what he wants me to do. Thank you. God bless.

I’m praying for you. May the Lord guide you.

St. Joseph, please intercede for this poster and help him discern what to do regarding employment. Amen.

[INDENT]Prayer to St. Joseph to Know One’s Vocation

O Great St. Joseph, you were completely obedient
to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Please beseech
God for the state of life that He has chosen for me.
Because my happiness on earth, and perhaps even
my final happiness in heaven, depends on this choice,
let me not be deceived in making it. Obtain for me
the light to know God’s will, to carry it out faithfully,
and to choose the vocation which will lead me
to a happy eternity.

Lord Jesus, lead all souls to heaven
especially those most in need of thy mercy.

Our Father…Hail Mary x10

Now and at the hour of death,

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your discernment.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Prayer to St. Joseph for the Unemployed

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Prayer to St. Lydia of Thyatira

St. Lydia, you were the first convert St. Paul had. As a merchant of purple cloth, you were a prosperous and successful businesswoman. You are an inspiration to so many for your diligence, practicality, and willingness to embrace this new religion. Thank you for offering St. Paul and St. Timothy a place to stay, and for letting your home be the meeting place for Christians. Your house was an early church building!

St. Lydia, we humbly ask you to hear the petitions we present to you today, especially for Johnny, who is uncertain which job path he should take next. Please present these prayers to Jesus, and do not cease interceding for us until He answers with mercy. Pray also that we may be brave about our faith and be willing to share the mercy and love of God with all we meet. Amen.

St. Lydia, pray for us!
