Discernment and the Sisters

As I may have mentioned before, at my parish (and old school), the empty convent will be soon filled with Norbertine Sisters. I am (as you can well imagine) very excited. I rode my bike over to the convent a few days ago and I ended up having a very long and very fulfilling conversation with the sister who was there. When she asked I told her how I’ve been thinking a lot about the religious life, her order in particular. Anyway, I just wanted to post this as a bit of an update, I guess. It will be amazing to be able to ride over there and talk to them at any time.

Norbertine sisters? You couldn’t happen to mean the Norbertine Canonesses of the Bethlehem Priory of St. Joseph, could you?

That’s awesome. I’m sure you are excited.

No, the cannonesses are cloistered. These are the active sisters. I certainly know if the priory though.

These sisters, who seem to have all the right “balance” of everything. They even pray with Latin!
