Divine Mercy

My husband was not able to go to confession today. If he were to do everything else and go to confession say next Saturday with the intention of receiving the Divine Mercy indulgence, could he?

This should help!

God Bless!

Yes. Confession can take place any day up to 7 days prior, and any day up to 7 days after. This is why in order to be able to receive Plenary Indulgences on a regular basis, it is recommended that one make their confession every 2 weeks (providing they have not committed any mortal sins in that time period). But you have until Saturday to go to confession, to receive a Plenary Indulgence on Sunday.

I was told confession can be within 20 days.
