Do copying and pasting website information as notes get around copyright laws?

I like to print information online and if I call them “notes” does that get around copyrights. Pretty much every work has a copyright past 1978 even facebook posts.

If I understand your question correctly, printing them out for your own reference for academic purposes is not a violation of copyright laws.

Are you just keeping them for your own reference? If so, that’s fine. What would be a problem is reposting them online, printing them in a publication or making copies of the printouts and handing them out.

There’s no need to “get around” copyright laws if what you’re doing falls within the boundaries of fair use. Here’s a primer:

Oh okay thanks guys. Yeah I wanted it for my own reference but I was worried about reproducing.
