Doctors warn Australian state against legalizing euthanasia [CNA]

Melbourne, Australia, Dec 8, 2016 / 06:01 am (CNA/EWTN News).- The government of the Australian state of Victoria is looking to legalize euthanasia in 2017, but physicians have warned of the risk of diminishing palliative care, already underutilized and underfunded.

A committee of Victorian Members of Parliament recommended in June legalizing voluntary euthansia under limited circumstances, after looking at similar laws elsewhere. A panel was then established to advise the government on an appropriate model, and the government’s deadline to respond is Dec. 9.

The committee had recommended allowing euthanasia for adults of sound mind who have a serious, incurable condition. They must make a voluntary written request, repeated thrice.

Finalized legislation will be presented to the Victoria parliament next year for a conscience vote.

It almost leaves me speechless. How can an adult be unable to see the potential abuses of euthanasia? Not just to the patient and their family but to the doctors as well.

It seems as though we are reverting back to a culture that sacrifices people. But we’re not offering sacrificed people to gods, we are sacrificing the most vulnerable and defenseless for our own convenience under the guise of compassion. Abortion and euthanasia are being packaged as being compassionate. But the compassion is perverted. It’s been twisted to include murder.

The Fabian Socialists who started this ideology 100 years ago included George Bernard Shaw, who said this:

“You must all know half a dozen people at least who are no use in this world, who are more trouble than they are worth. Just put them there and say Sir, or Madam, now will you be kind enough to justify your existence? If you can’t justify your existence, if you’re not pulling your weight in the social boat, if you’re not producing as much as you consume or perhaps a little more, then, clearly, we cannot use the organizations of our society for the purpose of keeping you alive, because your life does not benefit us and it can’t be of very much use to yourself.”

This is one of the “errors” that Our Lady of Fatima was referring to.

That’s good Doctors are trying to warn them, I don’t think it will make much difference though (But certainly want them to keep trying though, as I believe it vitally important euthanasia not be legislated), the extreme ideology of Daniel Andrews in Victoria, there is no getting through to him, he needs to be voted out and that could not come soon enough!

Unfortunately Victorians have to wait until 2018 apparently to do so, which is why they want to push this through by 2017.

The Greens party and the Australian sex party are the supporters of this, all you have to do is take a look at the ad commercial that the Australian Sex Party ran which mocked and attacked the Catholic Church during the whole thing, tells people all they really need to know, it’s funny they would never dare do anything like that in regards to Islam or some other religion. The Greens party gets their votes by appealing to Climate Change types and Vegetarian types etc, but they never mention any of their gravely immoral policies like Abortion and Euthanasia (although some of the types I mention, are actually in favor of these things, which is partly why I am deeply troubled by Our Holy Fathers appealing to them, especially without mention of the other).

I didn’t even know about how bad the Greens were until a pamphlet was sent by our Bishop pertaining to certain issues such as abortion and the stance the major parties had taken on those issues. Which the Bishop was attacked for, accused for ‘playing politics’ or ‘telling Catholics who to vote for’

Both The Greens and The Australian Sex Party (Of course) support abortion and both of those parties support gay marriage and are pushing the ‘Safe Schools’ program which is a radical gender theory program targeted toward kids under the guise of an Anti Bullying program.

We are in a very difficult spot here politically in Australia. I first voted for Tony Abbott, as Kevin Rudd went to the election with a promise to put in same sex marriage, he lost and Tony Abbot won, then the Liberal Party changed out Tony Abbot for Malcolm Turnbull, who himself supports same sex marriage and when asked about abortion, a chance to stand up for the unborn, fobbed it off and said it was a state issue.

The Liberal party however said that they would allow a plebiscite on the issue of same sex marriage, which the Labor party declined, so at least with Liberal in it’s not happening and if it does, at least Australia will be able to vote on it, rather than a bunch of corrupt politicians dictating to us, kind of like the USA’s nine unelected judges.

I voted for Malcolm Turnbull very reluctantly in the previous election (Actually I voted for my State member of the Liberal Party, not Malcolm Turnbull), because it was a choice between Malcolm Turnbull, or Bill Shorten and Bill Shorten promised same sex marriage within 100 days of taking office if he won, who also supports ‘safe schools’ and you name it.

Archbishop Porteous also released a pastoral letter on same sex marriage, and he was hauled before an Anti Discrimination commission, there was also another guy, who was kicked out of an aboriginal computer room and on Facebook said “Was kicked out of an aboriginal computer room today, fighting segregation with segregation.” and was thus hauled before an anti discrimination court for saying something (actually very true) on a Facebook comment.

Oh and get this, these Anti Discrimination commissions, the Plaintiff who makes the accusation has their case completely funded, yet the Defendant has to pay to defend their case, most of whom can’t afford to and just concede.

Anyway, I would absolutely be appalled if Euthanasia legislation were passed, I thought it would be a federal issue. :frowning:

I hope this has helped

Evil will not win out in the end. But there sure is a lot of evil in this world today.

Devout and practicing? :ehh: I don’t think so. He is also pushing Safe Schools and is a vehement LGBTQIA ideologue.

Just goes to show you can’t trust people simply because they say they are Catholic, especially devout or practicing, the proof is in the pudding.
