No I don’t get the point. We are discussing Love can only exist in a state of free will. You can’t force someone to love you. That fact that you have to bring in a robot, that can’t love, and the Hippocratic oath that is an oath on a promise, not of Love shows that you are the one “mumbling” and “not thinking this through”.
If you want to prove Love plays no role then you have to show an example where love is actually involved and was meaningless.
By any chance did I mention it is actually Dr. MT1926. The doctors attitude plays a big role in the healing of the patient. I’ve had patients who have seen the best specialists for treatment and the only reason they haven’t healed yet was they needed someone to talk to them on their level. Once they could understand, on their level, why the healing was taking longer, they actually started healing faster. All they needed was a doctor who could show them some love and compassion.
I never said we shouldn’t condemn it. All I am getting at is if you want to blame God for allowing the Holocaust then you have to wait to hear His testimony, see the bigger picture, before you can claim him guilty.
This is not a good comparison.
Never said this is the best thing to happen to this child. That’s not what the big picture is.
Once again I’m not here to argue. My faith isn’t blind either. Just look at the world around us. Just look at the human body. To believe that this all just happened by accident is blind faith in my book. If you studied how the human body worked you would understand there is no way this just happened. Such a wonderful creation must have a creator.
Then why bring it up?. Tthe pleasure and pain centers are connected in the brain. If there is no necessity for pain then there is no necessity for pleasure. Also, pain is an indication that something is wrong. If we felt no pain we would continue to destroy our bodies until they fell apart.
Sure I wouldn’t miss the pain either, but given the choice I wouldn’t give up the pleasure to get rid of the pain. I don’t know what “intellectual pleasures” are , sounds kinda boring. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy a good soduku as much as the next guy, but given a choice I can think of a few things I enjoy more.
