Does sin against one harm all?

Does an offense committed against one person harm all of humanity? Why?
Likewise, does a “personal” sin harm all of humanity?

I think so.

The reading last Wednesday was about the sin of King David, because of which all of the people suffered.

Remember, too, that we have all fallen because of the sin of Adam and Eve.

Also, remember that the Church is one body. When one part ails, the entire body suffers. I think there’s a New Testament verse saying this but I can’t remember exactly where.

Edit: Oh, it’s 1 Cor 12:26. So when one member sins (and thus, suffers), the entire body suffers with him/her.
