Is it coveting if you keep wanting sports players to join your team or is this ok because transfers happen so often in football (soccer) and it is a big part of the game nowadays?
Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t even think this counts as coveting at all.
Covetousness means sinful greed or a desire to steal. A business or sports team trading fairly for employees or players is not covetousness.
Oh ok thanks. I didn’t know that it meant you wanted to steal
Read up on the Catechism regarding this. Tenth commandment.
I don’t think it is coveting. But there could be a sin if you care inordinately about sports. I’m not suggesting what you are talking about is inordinate concern. However many people do suffer that problem.
