President Donald Trump on Monday showed reporters at the White House press briefing a video of their own reporting on the coronavirus, pointing out their failures and his success. . . .

. . . “The media minimized the risk from the start,” the text of the video read, prior to featuring a series of flashback clips to prominent media professionals downplaying the threat posed by the virus.

The clip then featured a timeline of the president’s actions to defend the country from the virus, while partisan media and some Democrats criticized him at every step. . . .

. . . Other clips featured audio from New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman talking about the president’s “effective” attempt to stop the spread of the virus with the travel ban on China.

The clip also highlighted praise that the president received from Democrat governors.

Reporters appeared taken aback by the video . . .

The media have been shaping people’s minds in the wrong direction for decades and President Trump is the first to take them on in such a fearless manner.

It looks like he is winning which indeed will make America more great and dare I say, more Godly.

I’m not sure if anyone losing a loved one to the virus is going to feel good about his attempted self-vindication.

Donald has some cojones considering some of his own remarks earlier on.

A really shameful display on the part of the president.

Why is he campaigning during a pandemic briefing? What cannot be denied was the segment WAS ABOUT HIM. A produced film about him. A lashing out segment about him.
Let Breitbart address that responsibly

Was the film made by the campaign or the White House?
What did the film show from February? Was there a month gap?

I think it is more complicated. The role of the press is to CRITICIZE the powers-to-be. They are our last and best defense against tyranny. No wonder that all tyrant-hopefuls are so vehemently against the free press.

I cannot understand how is it possible that anyone still supports this narcissistic, pompous buffoon - aka. the “fake president”. He only cares about himself and his re-election. I never thought that I have to vote for a Democrat, but I will have to hold my nose and do exactly that. I hope he will be FIRED in November, and then he will be dragged to court. The funny stuff is that his supporters don’t realize that Trump does not care about them, they are only used to prop up his chances…

Here’s the missing gap.

WOW! Now there is all the PROOF anyone needs to show Trump is a complete failure. :woman_facepalming: (sarcasm intended) Thirty seconds of video with short unrelated comments from the President that mean nothing without the context in which they were spoken in the first place.

I never could figure out how so many people could believe the propaganda of the liberal left, but I’m really beginning to see it. Liberal leftist see this junk and they’ve been conditioned to accept it as absolute truth.

Actually Trump is NOT a COMPLETE failure. He is excellent in dirty fighting, in hurling insults at every opponent, attempting to try to avoid responsibility, in lying about himself and others, in ruining even a casino! Yes, that requires a genius… a “very stable genius”, indeed.

Abrosz . . .

The role of the press is to CRITICIZE the powers-to-be.

I guess I always looked at the role of the press as to report the news.

Lies and power-grabbing by politicians always MUST be part of the news.

And I gave some details about Trump not being a complete failure. Give credit where credit is due.

The purpose of the press is to report the news Abrosz.

And is exactly what they are doing. Don’t fall for the constant drum-beat of trying to denigrate journalists. It is one of the first things all up-and-coming dictators all do. Not a single dictator has ever risen to power without discrediting all journalistic criticism.

If he does not care, which I thoroughly doubt, that’s not important to me. I care about what he does. Almost without exception his actions have been beneficial to the nation and certainly more moral than all the neo-puritans who like to talk about his long-ago adulteries but think nothing of their own support of child-killing through abortion.

Would be dictators as well as accomplished dictators preempt journalism. If there’s any preemption going on, it is by the left in this country.

Very well-thought out posts. Excellent input to the discussion.

That is only your opinion (shared by others no doubt). Mine is different (also shared by others). Now what?

As for abortion, it is here to stay, whether you like it or not. You don’t like it? Then don’t do it. If and when you will distinguish between DNA, zygotes, blastocysts, embryos, fetuses and the NEWBORN, then your view might get some respect - especially if you would strongly advocate preventive birth control. But not until then.

It is simply hilarious that in any discussion someone will bring abortion… of course there are single-issue voters…

You mean: just another feeble attempt to derail. yep, that is it.
