1 Cor. 6:20, 1 Cor. 6:12, 2 Peter 2:19, Rev. 18:23.

Drug use is also a form of false idol worship and would violate numerous passages in the Bible. Using drugs and mixing it with another activity that substantially increases the risk of death to oneself or to others violates the commandments, and introducing others to drug use (thereby placing them in danger) also violated the commandments.

In Rev 21:8, it says, “But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, as for murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”

The Greek word translated as sorcerer in the above verse is pharmakeus which means one who prepares or uses a *pharmakon, *a drug. From pharmakon, we get our word pharmacology, the study of the preparation, qualities, and uses of drugs.[size=2]
