Up to 20 countries have indicated support for the Netherlands’ plan to set up an international safe abortion fund to plug a $600m funding gap caused by Donald Trump’s reinstatement of the “global gag rule”, the Dutch international development minister, Lilianne Ploumen, said on Wednesday.

How ludicrous to call it a “gag rule”. If NGOs want to provide abortions, and if the countries in which they operate accept that, then let them do it with money that does not come out of the pockets of a nation (the U.S.) that just doesn’t approve of abortion on demand or the slaughter of foreign children.

#3

Exactly. Why should we pay for it in other countries out of our tax dollars?

Could someone explain to me what a gag rule is?

Abortion has no right to be funded within or without the United States. As such, good move on the part of Trump. If other countries want to pay for, then go right ahead. There are much more worthy places for our money.

May God bless you all!

It’s a made-up name for “no funding for those who provide abortions or refer them”. In other words, those slimy organizations want to make it seem as if they are “gagged”; prevented from “speaking” to make referrals for abortions. It’s just a derogatory term used to refer to something good.

Ahh, okay, thank you

We tie certain privileges and advantages for other countries, such as China, based on their human rights record and other factors. Safety in the womb is a human right. We should tie those advantages to outlawing abortion around the world. Think of the lives, not to mention the souls, that could be saved.

Amen.

It makes me gag. :stuck_out_tongue:
