Easy Question: What Is Death?

It is possible to have more than one definition of death when we consider it from different perspectives. There is physical death, the death of the body. And there is spiritual death, everlasting hell and separation from God. And there is eternal life which is Eternity with God. Catholics believe that when our bodies die our souls continue on in a state of existence that is less than being fully human, but nonetheless contued existence. The soul is judged by God and is either on its way to heaven or to hell. When Jesus returns our bodies will rise from the dead and be reunited with our souls so that we will be fully human, but now with resurrected immortal bodies. This Resurrection restores what was lost due to sin and death. Since death was a consequence of original sin.
