I’m interested to know if any here could comment on the writings of Edward M. Peters, Henry Charles Lea Professor of History, University of Pennsylvania.
My curiosity is aroused by the frequent recommendation [here also] of his book on the Inquisition [Apologists recommended reading]. I have this book in my stack to be read, but am seeking a more general insight into the author and his other works.
A search for book reviews from a Catholic perspective on the net is unrewarding, so, I hope some here might have more experience with the author.
Of particular interest are his titles “Torture” and “First Crusade: Chronicle of Fulcher of Chartres”.
If you can help me out with your own experience or reference reliable sites I will be most grateful.
