Everyday Mistakes

How should we deal with our everyday mistakes? Should we accept and live with them and use them as an opportunity to be humble, with an attitude of “it makes us human, or real” ? Is this a proper way to look at our failings?

That’s why pencils have erasures…

I believe that we should always strive to improve ourselves and overcome our weaknesses and failings. After all, they can be used to manipulate us, by those who know how.

ETERNAL FATHER, I offer Thee the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
with all Its Love, all Its sufferings, and all Its merits:

TO EXPIATE all the sins I have committed this day, and during all my life.

GLORY BE, etc.

TO PURIFY the good I have done poorly this day,
and during all my life.

GLORY BE, etc.

TO SUPPLY for the good I ought to have done,
and that I have neglected this day
and during all my life.

GLORY BE, etc.

An Act of Contrition

With everyday mistakes of other people I believe we need to be humble.

With our own mistakes I think they are opportunities to improve. It does take a willingness to slow down and examine ourselves as to why the same mistakes are made everyday. They are also opportunities to offer prayers to God.

God bless
