Family hates confession



I’d say it’s time for the OP to back off. Whether they “hate” confession or not the nagging, or what could be perceived as that, isn’t going to make them want to go. It could easily make them think of you as one of those pushy religious people, which won’t help at all.

My mother, however, is the most frustrating. She gets mad when I ask her if she wants to go to confession with me. She usually responds to my invitation with “Why do you keep on annoying me about this! Shut up!”

It looks to me like the frustration is going both ways.
