Favorite Action Movie

Since the “favorites” threads seem to be popular at the moment, I thought I’d start another one.

So, here it is…

Tell us your favorite ACTION MOVIE(s)!!

For me…

Braveheart
Terminator 2

Those are the only two I can think of right now, but I’m sure I’ll come up with more later.

Scout :tiphat:

The *Bourne *trilogy

Die Hard

The Patriot

Terminator 2: Judgement Day, with ROBERT PATRICK!!! It was a ground-breaking movie–a lot of the special effects we see in movies today were created for this movie. Robert Patrick was brilliant in it. I hope they can somehow bring him back for the 4th Terminator movie (a lot of the Terminator fan forums are saying the same thing).

I also love the James Bond movies, especially Live and Let Die. Lots of action.

Aliens … I win … thread over

My Favorite action movies:
Braveheart, I loved it!

Star Wars Trilogy
The Patriot
Indiana Jones Trilogy

Favorite action films:

Mine:
Blood Diamond
Band of Brothers (series)
Matrix
300 (not enough plot though)

Husband’s choices:
Star Wars
Superman
Full Metal Jacket

Son’s:
Matrix
Spiderman

Daughter’s
Spiderman
The Lord of the Rings

Die Hard, The Terminator, The Indiana Jones movies. Those are some action movies I will watch over and over again.

I’m a woman, but I’ll take a good action movie over a chick flick any day of the week.

-All the LOTR movies;
-All the Star Wars movies (although I only saw The Revenge of the Sith partially - the other movies are supercool, even the episode 1 - The Phantom Menace - which is the weakest);
-Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon;
-The first Matrix (I still didn’t see the other two);
-Spiderman 1 and 2 (I still didn’t saw the episode 3).

Raiders of the Lost Ark–It set the standard for all action movies.

Don’t. They’re full of action, but they really ruined the first one for me.

My all time favorite is:

Big Trouble in Little China.

Total Recall is a lot of fun.

Another I saw recently and loved was a Korean film, City of Violence (original title ‘Jjakpae’).

All the Star Wars movies, but especially the classic trilogy

The Bourne trilogy

The Lord of the Rings trilogy

Spider-Man 1 & 2 (just bought 3 on DVD, but I readily admit that it isn’t as good as the first two)

X-Men 1 & 2 (as with Spidey, the third one isn’t as good…but as a wheelchair user, I love watching these because one of the heroes is in a chair  )

Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade (my favorite of the Indy movies, probably due to the fact it was the only one I saw in a theater…oh, and Sean Connery  )

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (probably what hooked me on Asian films)

The Living Daylights (my favorite James Bond)

Duh…how could I forget the two best Star Trek movies?

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

and

Star Trek: First Contact

“Bourne” trilogy
"Lord of the Rings" trilogy
first “Matrix” movie
"The Italian Job" (I have a weakness for Mini Coopers)

AHHH, I love action movies!!! Let’s see if I can remember them all…

I totally know what you mean! The exception for me, though, is Pride and Prejudice…

I’d love to see some of the Die Hard movies… Is the Matrix any good? I’ve never been sure if it’s a “good” (moral-wise) movie to watch… maybe someone could clear that up for me. Thanks in advance…

We were soldiers
Lord of the Rings

I loved the first two Die Hard movies. Not the last one so much,. though.

I also like the Yuu Yuu Hakusho movie. But you knew that, right? :stuck_out_tongue:

I forgot to add one movie to my list… Gladiator (if it can be considered an action movie…)!

Wow. I can’t believe I’m the first to mention Equilibrium. That was a great movie.

I also really like:
The Matrix
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
Jet Li’s Fist of Legend
300
Casino Royale
The Mask of Zorro
Shoot Em Up

**Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, the second Indiana Jones movies wasn’t that great.

Wrath of Khan-awesome

I’ll think of more later.**
