Feast of St. Mark/Scripture reading to combat temptation

Hi All!
I hope this is in the right section!
I often see threads about temptation. Today’s reading was very informative in this regard! (This is not the full reading)

A reading from the first Letter of Saint Peter

“So humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. Cast all your worries upon Him for He cares for you.
Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent, the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for something to devour. Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that your brothers and sisters throughout the world undergo the same sufferings. The God of all grace, who called you to eternal glory through Christ Jesus will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little. To Him be dominion forever. Amen.”

I hope you will find this scripture beneficial! Peace and all good!

1 Peter 5:7 is one of my favorites:

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

Brad,
Thank you for the verse number! It was too late at night/early am here!
