Britain’s Prince Andrew is refusing to cooperate with U.S. investigators overseeing deceased Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking investigation, according to Manhattan’s top prosecutor.

“Contrary to Prince Andrew’s very public offer to cooperate with our investigation into Epstein’s co-conspirators, an offer that was conveyed via press release, Prince Andrew has now completely shut the door on voluntary cooperation and our office is considering its options,” U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Geoffrey Berman said at a press conference on Monday.
Neither Berman, nor his spokesman, James Margolin, would elaborate on what options are under consideration to impel Prince Andrew’s cooperation. . . . .

. . . Virginia Roberts Giuffre says that after meeting her in Florida in 2000, Epstein flew her around the world and pressured her into having sex with numerous older men, including Andrew, two senior U.S. politicians, a noted academic, wealthy financiers, and the attorney Alan Dershowitz, who is now part of President Donald Trump’s impeachment defense team.

All of those men have denied the allegations.

Giuffre has said she had sex with Andrew three times at Epstein’s request, including once in London in 2001 at the home of Epstein’s girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell. . . . .

That is a messy messy case. Do you think his legal
team advising him not to cooperate @Cathoholic

Yes I do think that.

But then I don’t think he should come out publicly and state he is cooperating with law enforcement either.

What a joker this guy is. Even if someone actually believes he did not have “relations” with this girl (and who knows how many others) just the idea of running around the world with her is so inappropriate.

I know you know that.

If the Feds are serious about breaking this open, it sounds like Epstien had hidden cameras to blackmail his “friends”.

These well-positioned “friends” should begin to have indictments brought against them. Arrests should be taking place too.

If this doesn’t begin to occur soon, the conclusion that I will draw is there may be those with a self-interest in hushing this up.

I agree. This could be a case, now that Epstein is dead, we may never know the truth about.

I agree with you both. I think unfortunately the privilege Prince Andrew has will stop any attempt at getting answers.

The interview conducted by Emily Maitlis really showed his true colours. He appears to have no sympathy for Epstein’s victims and he obviously doesn’t believe what Epstein did was wrong. And his arrogance blinds him to the fact that no-one believes what he says.

Turning into another annus horribilis for the Royal Family.
