FILM: Sophie Scholl

SPOILERS!!

Excellent movie, Sophie Scholl was a member of the White Rose resistance to Hitler. She, her brother & another member of the group were arrested in 1942 and executed in '43.
The movie seems pretty historically accurate. She clings to her faith as she struggles not to betray other members of the group or endanger her family.
One odd thing, the Nazis seem to treat her more gently than one might expect; she appeared to be in a regular prison and interrogated by regular police rather than SS.
Of course, she still wound up before the notorious "People's Court".

Well worth seeing.

I’ve seen this movie, it’s really good

I think you will find that they were in the custody of the Secret State Police (Geheime Staatspolizei - Ge-Sta-Po). There would be no reason for them to be held by the SS, the Gestapo were the appropriate authority and just as awful in their own way.

The film was very moving.
