For a father of three boys

#1

Please take a moment to say a prayer for my sister’s husband, Jim, who suffered a heart attack on Monday (8/24/09) and is in intensive care in Overland Park, KS. He is in a bad way. He is a good father to his three sons and I fear that they will lose him. Those little boys deserve their father as they grow into men… I’m nearly heartbroken.
Thank you for your prayers…
Amen.

#2

Father I entreat You to grant David’s brother in law Jim to regain the health he needs
to be there for his boys,
and to be able to provide for them.

Father I have three sons, and they needed their father whilst growing up. Please give the boys back their Dad.

Lord, please grant Jim a return to health. Help his system out and heal his heart. May he have a second chance to be a father to his children and husband to his wife. May he get more exercise in and eat well so he doesn’t have to suffer another heart attack. Bless him and his family with a long life together. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

#12

Lord please heal him and bless his family.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Thank you again for all of your support.

The boys are impressed and excited that people “they don’t even know” are praying for their father! It’s good to see them light up… it’s a very trying time for them; very hard to have your father in ICU. They’re all young - still in school.

I pray that God will grant the family the strength and grace to weather this time.

God Bless you all!

This is a prayer that I find very strengthening in times of trouble. It’s called “Anima Christi”. I’m offering it up for my sister’s husband, a father of three:

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O Good Jesus, hear me.
Within Thy wounds hide me.
Separated from thee, let me never be.
From the evil one, defend me.
At the hour of my death call me.
And bid me come unto Thee,
That with all Thy saints,
I may praise thee
Forever and ever.
Amen.

What lovely boys! I also have three sons, whom I love to bits…and I know boys do need their Dad as well as their mother. Please grant their Dad healing and strength, Lord.

Amen.

… Sobering news… :sad_bye: My sister’s husband has passed away… Devastating for the boys, but there are many friends and relatives giving them love & support, thank goodness… We are trying to soften the blow as much as we can.

Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your heartfelt prayers & encouragement. We offer the following prayer for Jim and for all of your departed family members. May they rest in peace with the joy of knowing that they have the opportunity to see their loving family again - because of the loving sacrifice of Our Lord.

Rest In Peace & Hope, Jim… we love you.

Eternal Rest Grant Unto Them Lord

Lord Jesus
lovingly welcome into Your presence my
deceased family members, relatives, and
friends who have completed their journey
on this earth, and have gone to their rest
in the hope of rejoicing with You forever in
heaven.
Source of life and love, in Your infinite mercy,
look favorably upon the goodness, and
forgive any sins they may have committed,
so they may enjoy for all of eternity the great
rewards You have promised to those who believe
in You. Amen.
