Hello, brothers and sisters. . .
May I ask prayer for an aunt? She’s grappling with a bad diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, and it has made her severely depressed to need many meds for both the disease and depression. Poor lady, I can’t even imagine.
But what I’m most concerned for is her spiritual welfare. You see, my Dad (a lukewarm Protestant) bought one of my custom Rosaries for her, to help give her some peace; he will give it to her on Monday. However, an uncle–my Dad’s younger brother–who’s a Scientologist (Tom Cruise-ish in his fervency, seriously) believes that he can help heal her with whatever “technologies” of Scientology. This uncle is flying up from Arizona tomorrow, and together he and my Dad will drive up to see my aunt.
Would you maybe say a prayer for her behalf? I can’t imagine the horrific, depressive lows she’s enduring–much less the physical hell of Parkinson’s–and I’m nervous for the three of them and their get-together on Monday.
God bless all of you; thank you.
