For baby Jackson

#1

Someone in my RCIA group asked us to pray for this little boy, the son of her friend, and I am passing it along and asking you to join us in prayer. Baby Jackson is five months old and was recently diagnosed with a very rare, progressive, debilitating disease. Most children with this disease pass away before their first birthday. Please pray for Jackson and for his mom and dad. Thank you in advance.

St. Gerard, who, like the Savior, loved children so tenderly and by your prayers freed many from disease and even death, listen to us who are pleading for this sick child. We thank God for the great gift of this little boy and ask Him to restore Jackson to health if such be His holy will. This favor, we beg of you through your love for all children and mothers. Amen.

Loving God,

We know your son Jesus loves all the little children of the world, dear Lord, and you knew each one of us before we were conceived in our mother’s womb. Please hear our prayers and petitions for baby Jackson and send the healing hand of your Son to be with him in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Dear Lord, please release the family who cares for baby Jackson from nervousness and anxiety, and help them to place all trust in your divine providence. Lord, only you know the plan for this child, may your plans be fulfilled in glory and may all who know this child come to understand your ways.

Amen.

PATER NOSTER, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie, et dimitte nobis debita nostra sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris. Et ne nos inducas in tentationem, sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

A Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.
