For family troubles

#1

Hi everyone.

My boyfriend, Greg, became Catholic at the Easter Vigil, and both of his parents (who are not religious) attended. His dad had beforehand claimed to be “indifferent” to Greg’s decision, but I guess when they got home his dad started giving him grief about it, calling his decision “pagan”, to the point that Greg couldn’t be in the same room with him. He is terrified of seeing the rest of his family, who are very extreme Baptists, for fear that he’ll be outcast.

He needs our prayers a lot.

Thank you!

Lord, please surround Greg with Your light and love.
We commend him to Your care.
Just as You gave him the graces of conversion, please now defend his conversion to his family. Please inspire them to be Christian in their responses to his honest beliefs.
Please help him to remain faithful, giving him strength in his commitment to the Catholic failth and the Sacraments

Amen.

Hail Mary,
full of Grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Dear Lord, Please help Greg through this difficult time with his father. Help him remain strong in faith and undaunted by any oppression coming against him, especially from his father, who I’m sure means a lot to Greg. May Greg be surrounded by friends who support his decision to become Catholic and experience the joy of being new in the fold. Bless Greg and his father so that they may be able to get over their differences and still love and respect each other as much as possible. I ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty yourself out upon us.
Oh Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us. I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

oh I can so relate to this my aunt who is a former Catholic and is now extremely anti-Catholic and fundamentalist speaks out against the Catholic Church every chance she gets. I pray that God will help Craig the wisdom strength and courage to withstand these attacks on his faith by his father and other family members. My aunt is also my godmother so I have firsthand knowledge of these type of attacks. It is not easy but if you hold fast to your faith you will be able to withstand and overcome them.
