for Ireland

Js went to the thread, “First abortion carried out in Ireland under new law”, in world news, and couldn’t even read it, too sensitive. But I wanted to post a prayer, my maiden last name is Irish, I don’t know how many generations back it goes, but I know my grandfather in England received communion before his death after many years of socialism and falling away from the faith of his family, which maintained a strong Irish Catholic tradition while living in England. It pains me so much to see this happen. I called into a radio talk show in Dublin on my cell phone after listening online to a discussion of charging fat people more to fly (on airplanes) and they were looking to America for answers. It came up again and again. So I called. Stay Irish, I said. Stay human. And of course, I was thinking of the abortion issue and remembering the story of the girl who was raped and wanted to come to America to get an abortion. (Some years back.)

For Ireland, for all the trouble it has seen, I pray the Lord to set it back but I fear the crumbling, once abortion takes a foothold, makes a break, it is hard for the victims to reverse it, just about as impossible as it is to reverse an abortion, even tho you want to.

Hail Mary
Full of grace
the Lord is with Thee
Blessed art Thou among women
and Blessed is the Fruit of Thy womb,
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners
and at the hour of our death. Amen

Our Father,
Who art is Heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth
as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.

Hail Holy Queen,
Mother of mercy.
Hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope.
To Thee do we cry
Poor banished children of Eve,
To Thee do we send up our sighs
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then
Most Gracious Advocate,
Thine eyes of mercy toward us,
and after this, our exile,
Show unto us the Blessed Fruit of Thy Womb, Jesus.
O Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.

St. Michael Archangel
Defend us in battle,
Protect us from the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
Ask the Lord to rebuke him
we humbly pray.
Do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Hosts
By the power of God
Thrust into Hell
and all the evil spirits that prowl through the world
seeking the ruin of souls.

silent scream
the pain of the mother
the cry of unborn life

That life flourish…

My soul glorifies the Lord, *
my spirit rejoices in God, my Saviour.
He looks on his servant in her lowliness; *
henceforth all ages will call me blessed.
The Almighty works marvels for me. *
Holy his name!
His mercy is from age to age, *
on those who fear him.
He puts forth his arm in strength *
and scatters the proud-hearted.
He casts the mighty from their thrones *
and raises the lowly.
He fills the starving with good things, *
sends the rich away empty.
He protects Israel, his servant, *
remembering his mercy,
the mercy promised to our fathers, *
to Abraham and his sons for ever.

Dear Tenderly,

You know, most Americans love Ireland, and claim Ireland through St. Patrick ( not the feast day bacchanal, though)! My heart hurts at your news. So I am praying to/with Our Lady of Guadalupe, the protector of children, especially those sacrificed in the satanic rite of abortion.
Won’t you pray with me, too?

Holy Mother of God and the Church, our Lady of Guadalupe, you were chosen by the Father for the Son through the Holy Spirit. You are the Woman clothed with the sun, who labors to give birth to Christ, while satan the red dragon wait voraciously to devour your Child. So too did Herod seek t destroy your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and massacred many innocent children in the process. So to day does abortion, killing many innocent unborn children and exploiting many mothers in its attack on human life and upon the Church, the Body of Christ. Mother of the innocents, we praise God in you for His gifts to you, of your: Immaculate Conception; your freedom from actual sin; your motherhood of God and the Church; your perpetual virginity and your assumption body and soul into heaven. O help of Christians, we beg you to protect all mothers of the unborn and the children within their wombs. We plead with you for your help to end the holocaust of abortion. Melt hearts so that life may be revered! Holy mother, we pray to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart for all mothers and all unborn children that they may have life here on Earth and by the Most Precious Blood shed by your Son , that they may have eternal life with Him in heaven. We also pray to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart for all abortionists and abortion providers that they may be converted and accept your Son, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior. Defend all of your children in the battle against satan and all of the evil spirits in this present darkness. We desire that the innocent unborn children who die without Baptism should be Baptised and saved. We ask that you obtain this grace for them, and repentance, reconciliation and pardon for their parents and for their killers. Let there be revealed once more in the history of the world the infinite power of merciful love. May it transform consciences. May your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart reveal for all the light of hope. May Christ the King reign over us, our families, cities, states, nations, and the whole of humanity. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary, hear our pleas, and accept this cry from our hearts! Our Lady of Guadalupe, Protectress of the unborn, pray for us!

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death

St. Jude, pray for us!

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

May the Strength of God pilot us.
May the Power of God preserve us.
May the Wisdom of God instruct us.
May the Hand of God protect us.
May the Way of God direct us.
May the Shield of God defend us.
May the Host of God guard us.
Against the snares of the evil ones.
Against temptations of the world

May Christ be with us!
May Christ be before us!
May Christ be in us,
Christ be over all!
May Thy Salvation, Lord,
Always be ours,
This day, O Lord, and evermore. Amen.

Our Lady of Knock, pray for us.
All the Saints of Ireland, pray for us.

Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world: have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world: have mercy on us
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world: grant us peace.

Hey y’all, when I read the prayer request, I thought that the legislation had been passed and so a Dr. in Ireland performed the 1st abortion. Well I just read an article on Life Site News which said that the newspaper that broke the story misrepresented the facts. The mom was dying of an internal infection and part of the treatment to save her life was to induce early labor, and the baby didn’t make it. The editor of the newspaper got fired, and the hospital and the national health dept. are conducting an investigation to find out who leaked the woman’s private medical info. I’m a nurse and I know that here (for the time being) you can get massive jail time for breaking the HIPPA privacy laws! So, while it is a sad and tragic situation, there was no actual abortion performed. Well, our prayers are never wasted…The poor mom almost died, lost her baby, and had medical lies told about her at home, and then, all over the world!

praying with you

I read it here and thought it was true, so sad and glad at the same time, sad for this Mom, glad that no legal abortion has yet been performed. I do think, tho, that I have heard the legislation was indeed passed. Even if it is only being considered, let us continue to pray.

Prayer In Defense Of Life And The Family
Almighty God, Our Father, you have given us life and intended us to have it forever. Grant us your blessings. Enlighten our minds to an awareness and to a renewed conviction that all human life is sacred because it is created in your image and likeness. Help us to teach by word and the example of our lives that life occupies the first place, that human life is precious because it is the gift of God whose love is infinite. Give us the strength to defend human life against every influence or action that threatens or weakens it, as well as the strength to make every life more human in all its aspects. Give us the grace…

When the sacredness of life before birth is attacked, to stand up and proclaim that no one ever has the authority to destroy unborn life.

When a child is described as a burden or is looked upon only as a means to satisfy an emotional need, to stand up and insist that every child is a unique and unrepeatable gift of God, a gift of God with a right to a loving and united family.

When the institution of marriage is abandoned to human selfishness or reduced to a temporary conditional arrangement that can easily be terminated, to stand up and affirm the indissolubility of the marriage bond.

When the value of the family is threatened because of social and economic pressure, to stand up and reaffirm that the family is necessary not only for the private good of every person, but also for the common good of every society, nation and state.

When freedom is used to dominate the weak, to squander natural resources and energy, to deny basic necessities to people, to stand up and affirm the demands of justice and social love.

Almighty Father, give us courage to proclaim the supreme dignity of all human life and to demand that society itself give its protection. We ask this in your name, through the redemptive act of your Son and in the Holy Spirit. Amen.

PATER NOSTER, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,
et dimitte nobis debita nostra
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem, sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

AVE MARIA, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus. Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.

GLORIA Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.

God Bless the Irish…
In shared prayer…

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

May God be with you and bless you;
May you see your children’s children.
May you be poor in misfortune,
Rich in blessings,
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home
And may the hand of a friend always be near.

May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.

Praying for Ireland and all countries that condone abortion.

O Mary, Mother of Sorrows, I beseech thee, by the inexpressible tortures thou didst endure at the death of thy Son, offer to the Eternal Father, in my stead, thy beloved Son all covered with Blood and Wounds, for the grace of the conversion of Ireland. Amen.

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary
full of Grace
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,
and Blessed is the Fruit of Thy womb,
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
and at the hour of our death.

To thee, O blessed Joseph, do we come in our tribulation, and having implored the help of thy most holy Spouse, we confidently invoke thy patronage also. Through that charity which bound thee to the immaculate Virgin Mother of God and through the paternal love with which thou embraced the Child Jesus, we humbly beg thee to graciously regard the inheritance which Jesus Christ has purchased by his Blood, and with thy power and strength to aid us in our necessities.

O most watchful Guardian of the Holy Family, defend the chosen children of Jesus Christ; O most loving father, ward off from us every contagion of error and corrupting influence; O our most mighty protector, be propitious to us and from heaven assist us in our struggle with the power of darkness; and, as once thou rescued the Child Jesus from deadly peril, so now protect God’s Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity; shield, too, each one of us by thy constant protection, so that, supported by thy example and thy aid, we may be able to live piously, to die holy, and to obtain eternal happiness in heaven. Amen.
