For my 11 yr old son in emotional anguish

#1

I am hoping you will add my son to your prayer list. He has had a difficult few years and cannot handle new things. He starts at a new school in a few weeks. This is causing his anxiety to flare to where his anti-anxiety meds are not helping.

He has been through a lot in his young life. His dad vanished on his 8th birthday never to be heard from again.

After that day, he has had a difficult time with separation anxiety from me, and has a hard time functioning with his peers. It’s very stressful for him to have a friend thinking the friend will vanish like dad did.

For the first time in years, he has 1 friend, however this child is not continuing on to school with him.

As the count down starts to the beginning of school, his meltdowns and stomach aches are starting to intensify.

Please I beg of you as a mother who has seen so much emotional anguish in this child, pray that his transition into middle school can be made gently and that he may make some nice friends to help him grow.

May the Blessed Mother hold his hand when I cannot. May She lead him to friends.

Thanks

Praying…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Thanks all. I could probably use a few of my son’s anti- anxiety meds too I guess. :o

I appreciate your prayers.

Prayers out. My now 16 y.o. son had a tough time when he was 12. It is partly a stage. My son responded very well with added responsibilities when I was diagnosed with cancer at that time. He has alot put on his shoulders. I even had a talk with him about him possibly becoming the man of the house if I died. This is a delicate balance, they can get cocky fast. But some added chores does alot for a young boy if he knows it is a responsibility rather then a job. Hope this helps, Tim

Thanks for your insight. It is a sad situation that kids need to shoulder more than their share at such a tender age.

Hope all is better with you and your health restored. I will keep you in my prayers.
An increase in chores? I have no problems assigning them more.

I’m doing well, Thank you. He’ll do fine, boys like to feel somewhat empowered at that age. Tim

Mary, Mother of God, please watch over this young man during these upcoming days of trials (and let his mom know you are watching over him). Amen.

My daughters were born in China, and I am 100% convinced Mary watched over them for me until I could get to them. Be comfirted in knowing that Mary will watch over your child when you can’t be there.

I will pray for him and remember him when I say the Rosary.

St Dymphna, please intercede with your loving prayers for this boy and his mother. May they know courage and consolation, and the comfort of safety in Jesus’ Love.

Lord Jesus Christ, You have willed that St. Dymphna should be invoked by thousands of clients as the patroness of nervous and mental disease and have brought it about that her interest in these patients should be an inspiration to and an ideal of charity throughout the world. Grant that, through the prayers of this youthful martyr of purity, those who suffer from nervous and mental illness everywhere on earth may be helped and consoled. I recommend to You in particular jrabs and her son
Be pleased to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna and of Your Blessed Mother. Give those whom I recommend the patience to bear with their affliction and resignation to do Your divine will. Give them the consolation they need and especially the cure they so much desire, if it be Your will. Through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

I have been in same situation and my sister. The Rosary is a powerful prayer. May our Lady be always with him, his guardian angel and the Lord.

I am praying for you.

#18

I will add you and your son to my prayer list. My young daughters suffer from anxiety and I know how difficult it can be for them (and for me).

God Bless,
Gary
