My husband’s aunt, Ann (known to us all as Aunt 'Tanie) passed away quietly over the weekend in CT. She was like a third grandma to our girls, and has always been a big part of their lives. She and my MIL and FIL came way down south to visit us twice a year while the girls were growing up, and, after my FIL died, she and my MIL visited together; it was always a holiday when they came.
She was found reclined peacefully on her sofa, every hair in place, likely holding one of the word puzzle books which kept her sharp, even at 89.
Aunt 'Tanie was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church in CT, one of those “baking ladies” who made the wonderful nut rolls and poppyseed rolls which brought in quite a bit of money for the parish.
She has now joined her husband, sisters, brother and beloved son who passed away unexpectedly several years ago.
Please say a prayer for this loving, feisty, funny and beloved lady. Thank you all.
