For surviving husband whose wife committed suicide

Please pray for David… whose wife commited suicide a short while ago. He found her body after returning home from work… and her family is angry and blames him. He is alone and coping with his grief.

Praying for David and for the soul of his deceased wife.

Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory be…

Amen.

O Christ, have mercy on us! Be with this man as he suffers. Bless him, Lord.

Why do they blame him?

Such is often the case in suicides… One can not help but blame oneself as well… This too can become crippling… *Hopefully *the situation does not turn into a ‘cluster suicide.’

Christ have Mercy!

Prayers being said for husband the soul of the wife as well. How sad they blame him.
Mary.

Many Rosaries will be said for him and his family.

Praying…

I am so sorry to hear this.May God bless David and help him through this deep pain.

For One Who Died by Suicide

God, lover of souls, You hold dear what You have made and spare all things, for they are Yours. Look gently upon Your servant (This beloved wife), and by the Blood of the cross forgive her sins and failings. Remember the faith of those who mourn and satisfy their longing for that day when all will be made new again in Christ, our risen Lord, who lives and reigns with You forever and ever. Amen.

Lord our God, You are always faithful and quick to show mercy. (This wife) was suddenly taken from us. Come swiftly to her aid, have mercy on her, and comfort this family and friends particularly her husband by the power and protection of the cross. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord, as we mourn the sudden death of (this wife), show us the immense power of Your goodness and strengthen our belief that he has entered into Your Presence. Amen.

We beg You, Lord, in Your kindness to have pity on the soul of Your servant (this wife). Grant her now freed of this life’s dangers, a place of lasting safety. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

You are, O God, quick to pardon and desire man’s salvation. In Your goodness we ask You to grant our friend’s deceased wife everlasting happiness. With the help of Blessed Mary ever Virgin and all Your saints, we ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Prayers for Those Who Mourn

Father of mercies and God of all consolation, You pursue us with untiring love and dispel the shadow of death with the bright dawn of light.

Comfort Your family in their loss and sorrow. Be our refuge and our strength, O Lord, and lift us from the depths of grief into the peace and light of Your Presence.

Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, by dying has destroyed our death, and by rising, restored our life. Enable us therefore to press on toward him, so that, after our earthly course is run, He may reunite us with those we love, when every tear will be wiped away. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

1 THESSALONIANS 4:13-18
We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring Him those who have died. For this we declare to you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will by no means precede those who have died. For the Lord Himself, with a cry of command, with the archangel’s call and with the sound of God’s trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore, encourage one another with these words.

Praying hard for them.

With great sadness, I join in prayer for this family, and the tortured soul of the victim.

Having experienced two similar suicides - also at this time of year, I have a sense of the damage to all the survivors. My husband and I reached out to our friend, the surviving husband, and took him with us every Friday night for the past 5 yrs. We let him talk about her and reminisce if he felt so inclined. Our conversations were always in fondness for her.

There is no answer or blame. Only God knows her heart and can offer this husband eventual peace. I pray that for him.

Thank you for letting us know. Will pray for David, his poor wife, and all affected by this tragedy in my Rosary tonight. :gopray:

*A Thiarna, déan trócaire.
A Chríost, déan trócaire.
A Thiarna, déan trócaire.

Kyrie eleison.
Christe eleison.
Kyrie eleison.*

ver sad :gopray:

I can think of few things worse that I’d rather never suffer. I’ll keep this brother in Christ in my heart and in my prayers.

Lord please help David come to terms with the sudden death of his wife. Please ease his pain and hurt and grant him strength of faith. Please comfort him and all his family. Please guide this family to pull together and love one another to help get through this most painful time and come to acceptance.Lord please help the wife’s family to not blame David and comfort them in their deep pain also.Lord in Your mercy hear our prayers Amen
