For the persecuted Church worldwide

For the persecuted Church around the world,
O Lord, hear our prayer.

That they may be faithful to Him who called them,
And that they may shine like stars in the heavens during their trials,
O Lord, hear our prayer.

That the Lord may grant them the grace to stand firm,
Holding on to faith,
O Lord, hear our prayer.

That they will know that the Church stands with them,
That they are remembered in prayer,
O Lord, hear our prayer.

That the Lord will send special comfort to them,
And that we will do all we can to provide comfort and end the persecution,
O Lord, hear our prayer.

That, if they are called to the martyr’s crown, that they will be given special grace to endure to the end,
And that their witness may serve as a light in the darkness,
O Lord, hear our prayer.

Especially for Maryam and Marzieh, two Iranian Christian women currently in prison and ordered to renounce the faith.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. :crossrc:

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. :crossrc:

Hail Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. :crossrc:

the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God,
pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen
