For the Santa vs. No Santa Thread - a prayer for peace!

Lord God, I beg you, help me to find patience this holiday season, and please help all of us Catholics to treat each other and all people with kindness and respect, even if our initial reaction is to be angry or hurtful.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our tresspasses,
as we forgive those who have tresspassed against us;
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
For the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory are Yours, now and forever.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

And remembering Saint Nicholas whose name has been high-jacked and debased as Santa Claus, we pray that all will come to welcome a true understanding and appreciation of Christmas.

When that saint give gifts of food and necessities to poor families he had no idea that his name would be commercialised and debased as a secular figure.

From your place in heaven, saintly Nicholas, please pray that all will know and respond to the true meaning of Christmas, the love that God has given in the form of a little Child, God Incarnate, who came to save us.

May that great love fill us now at Christmas, and always

Praying for a peaceful resolve on that thread …

Hail Mary
Full of grace
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus
Holy Mary
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Although the thread in question seems to have been removed, I will continue my prayers for peace, in the hopes that further threads will be written and responded to by cooler heads.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our tresspasses
as we forgive those who tresspass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.
