Former US attorney: FBI could charge Clinton within 60 days

#1

An attorney speaking to Fox News says he expects Hillary Clinton to face federal charges withing 60-90 days. It is Fox, so they hate anything she does or does not do, but it’s certainly not out of the realm of possibility:

Iff she is charged, I can well see Bernie Sanders becoming the Democratic nominee for president.

Time will tell. It’s interesting.

Bernie Sanders is an extremely liberal socialist who also appears to be an atheist, and I’m not sure if this country is ready for that in a president.

#3

Actually, I would think that O’Malley would start rising up in the polls, as he would attract the moderate voters in the Democratic party. But we will have to wait and see in this very unpredictable game of politics.

#4

Well, Clinton hasn’t been charged by the FBI, Sanders hasn’t won the nomination, and no Democrat is guaranteed the presidency (no Republican, either). I’d say Sanders has a ways to go before he could be president. LOL He just seems likely to be the Democratic nominee if Clinton is out of the picture. But she isn’t out yet.

#5

You are right, it’s a waiting game now. First we’ll have to see if Clinton is, indeed, charged by the FBI. However, I would think the same about O’Malley.

#6

I will believe it when I see it!

#7

Always the best time to believe in politics! I think it’s interesting, though.

More information has come out on the issue by the way. Apparently she told someone to send out what is assumed to be a classified email unsecured if need be.

I agree. it is interesting and I have been following the developments in the news, but until it happens I won’t hold my breath.

#10

I’m not holding mine, either 7 Sorrows.

Thank you for the link.

Hillary was waiting on talking points from her deputy chief of staff. When he tells her that the source is having trouble with the secure fax (email), Hillary then orders him to have the data stripped of its markings and sent through a non-secure channel.

Basically, she told the deputy chief of staff to remove the markings that would make the fax “classified” so he could send it through non-secure channels. If this is true and the fax was classified, she’s finished and looking at jail time.

But I wouldn’t hold my breath with Obama’s DOJ.

exactly!

#14

I don’t think anyone is, holding their breath, that is. And, it was Fox who said she’d be charged, and Fox is as pro-Republican as MSNBC is pro-Democrat.

I just want to know the truth even if I don’t like it. That’s why I pretty much stick to CNN. They seem the most neutral.

#15

I am skeptical that this will happen.
If a lower level official had done the same thing, they would have been indicted already. I think the politics of the situation make it likely nothing will happen.

#16

I’ll believe it when I see it.

#17

Slight correction, it was not FOX that said it, it was an attorney interviewed on FOX. I believe it might have been Joe DeGenova (?) who said that. He is a very noted attorney with a long background in law in DC.

#18

I don’t see that at all. If Clinton is indicted, and forced to withdrawal from the race, Biden, Elizabeth Warren, or some other heavy hitter will step in. Sanders is not going to be the Democrat nominee.

#19

And don’t we know about Attorney General Holder before and now this one - she was selected far too fast - maybe zero could have been done about it, but a little education on the importance and power that go with the job could have been a great refresher to the American people (schooling isn’t what it used to be!).

The FBI is an investigative arm of law enforcement. They arrest, but they don’t “charge” anyone.
