Freemasonry and Naturalism

From Pope Leo XIII’s encyclical Human Genus:

“*12. Now, the fundamental doctrine of the naturalists, which they sufficiently make known by their very name, is that human nature and human reason ought in all things to be mistress and guide. Laying this down, they care little for duties to God, or pervert them by erroneous and vague opinions. For they deny that anything has been taught by God; they allow no dogma of religion or truth which cannot be understood by the human intelligence, nor any teacher who ought to be believed by reason of his authority. And since it is the special and exclusive duty of the Catholic Church fully to set forth in words truths divinely received, to teach, besides other divine helps to salvation, the authority of its office, and to defend the same with perfect purity, it is against the Church that the rage and attack of the enemies are principally directed. *”

Is that what Freemasons believe?

Fascinating…

Is there a question or even a conclusion that the original post is raising?

Well this isn’t a question…

Also, naturalists are interested (this is seen especially in literature) in psychology generally, including deviant human behaviors.

Just thought I’d add that :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually thIs is a much better encyclical from Pope Leo XIII on freemasonry papalencyclicals.net/Leo13/l13ms3.htm

And this
papalencyclicals.net/Leo13/l13ms1.htm

Thanks, I will read those when I get a chance.

“10. But to simulate and wish to lie hid; to bind men like slaves in the very tightest bonds, and without giving any sufficient reason; to make use of men enslaved to the will of another for any arbitrary act ; to arm men’s right hands for bloodshed after securing impunity for the crime - all this is an enormity from which nature recoils. Wherefore, reason and truth itself make it plain that the society of which we are speaking is in antagonism with justice and natural uprightness. And this becomes still plainer, inasmuch as other arguments, also, and those very manifest, prove that it is essentially opposed to natural virtue. For, no matter how great may be men’s cleverness in concealing and their experience in lying, it is impossible to prevent the effects of any cause from showing, in some way, the intrinsic nature of the cause whence they come. “A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor a bad tree produce good fruit.”(12) Now, the masonic sect produces fruits that are pernicious and of the bitterest savour. For, from what We have above most clearly shown, that which is their ultimate purpose forces itself into view - namely, the utter overthrow of that whole religious and political order of the world which the Christian teaching has produced, and the substitution of a new state of things in accordance with their ideas, of which the foundations and laws shall be drawn from mere naturalism.”

I find this whole topic interesting because it seems that the very goal is to eradicate the Church’s guidance over society. Instead of the objective truth of Divine Revelation, they work towards subjectivism and, thus, lead people to atheistic humanism.

That is the goal of the Illuminati. The Illuminati has close ties with Freemasonry.

Yeah. Frankly that actually explains a lot. It is a very interesting topic. Sure, the occasional eyeroll is to be expected with topics like these, since it does look like it can slide into conspiracy theory territory, quick, but it’s not that far off the mark.

Yeah. That happens often. However, their philosophy is still intriguing. :o

Not all conspiracy theories are simply theories. Many are facts that have yet to be reported.

Yeah, the paranoid are sometimes right. It’s not a slight against them. There are some principles at work here, which, happen, to coincide. And it’s actually a rather underratedly important topic as well, because, it does lead to religious indifferentism amongst people. And Pope BXVI did break his silence over this issue.

Illuminism was the belief system of Weishaupt’s order. It was a driving force in the French Revolution. In the book “Grand Orient Freemasonry Unmasked” , Msgr George Dillon writes:

“The state of nature, goods and sexes in common, no God, and instead of God a hatred for everything pertaining to the idea of God, formed about the sum ** total of the happiness which they desired to see reign in a world where people should be reduced to the level resembling cattle in the American prairies*. This was the Illumination which they destined for humanity…*”

Humanist subjectivism is one way how the devil brings about enslavement of souls.

Pray for us, O Virgin of Good Success!

What you said there makes a lot of sense. The Illuminati is against God.
