*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. *
*O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother. *

  • O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. *
O show us that you are our Mother.

  • O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. *

Amen.

and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Joanna. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Joanna’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Praying for Joanna to be healed and strengthened.

Remembering Joanna in my daily prayers. God bless!

Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for Joanna. I’m sad to tell you she passed away a month ago today. Please pray for the repose of her soul and for my brother (her fiancé) who is burdened with so much sadness and grief. I truly appreciate your prayers.

My condolence to your brother, you, and all those who love her. I just prayed the below Litany for her – which I find very comforting in praying for my loved ones. In order to make it easier to follow, I changed the color of the response every time the response changes. Basically with this Litany, one asks Our God to hear us, and everyone else to pray for us. Although she might not have been a biological mom, am sure she nurtured many so the “motherly” prayer is fine for her. Her loved ones are also in my prayers. My heart goes out to you.

The Litany for the Faithful Departed
:signofcross:
Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, hear us.
Christ, graciously hear us.

God the Holy Ghost, have mercy on the soul of Joanna.
Holy Trinity, One God, have mercy on the soul of Joanna.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for the soul of Joanna

All ye holy martyrs, pray for the soul of Joanna.
All ye holy bishops and confessors, pray for the soul of Joanna.
All ye holy doctors, pray for the soul of Joanna.
All ye holy priests and Levites, pray for the soul of Joanna.
All ye holy monks and hermits, pray for the soul of Joanna.
All ye holy virgins and widows, pray for the soul of Joanna.
All ye saints of God, pray for the soul of Joanna.

Be merciful. Spare her, O Lord.
Be merciful. Graciously hear us, O Lord.
From all evil, O Lord, deliver her.
From the rigor of Thy justice, O Lord, deliver her.
From the power of the devil, O Lord, deliver her.
From long-enduring sorrow, O Lord, deliver her.
From cruel flames, O Lord, deliver her.
From horrible darkness, O Lord, deliver her.
From dreadful weeping and wailing, O Lord, deliver her.

Through Thy holy nativity, O Lord, deliver her.
Through Thy most sweet name, O Lord, deliver her.
Through Thy most profound humiliations, O Lord, deliver her.
Through Thy bloody sweat, O Lord, deliver her.
Through Thy scourging, O Lord, deliver her.
Through Thy crowning with thorns, O Lord, deliver her.
Through Thy carrying of the cross, O Lord, deliver her.
Through Thy most cruel death, O Lord, deliver her.
Through Thy five most holy wounds, O Lord, deliver her.

In the Day of Judgment, we sinners beseech Thee, hear us.
Thou Who forgavest Magdalene, and didst grant the prayer of the thief,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou wouldst be pleased to deliver the souls of our parents,
…relations, friends, and benefactors, from the pains of hell,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou wouldst be pleased to have mercy on those of whom
…no special remembrance is made on earth,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou wouldst be pleased to grant them all the pardon and
…remission of their sins,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou wouldst be pleased to receive them into the company
…of the blessed,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
King of awesome majesty,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
Son of God,
we beseech Thee, hear us.

Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world, **
grant unto her eternal rest.**
Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
grant unto her eternal rest.
Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
grant unto her rest everlasting.

Christ, hear us.
Christ, graciously hear us.
Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy.
From the gate of hell,
deliver her soul, O Lord.
O Lord, hear my prayer.
And let my cry come unto Thee.

Let us pray.
O God,
the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful,
grant unto the soul of Thy servant departed the remission of all their sins;
that, by pious supplications,
she may obtain the pardon which she has always desired.
Grant this, O God, Who livest and reignest for ever and ever. Amen.

O eternal God,
Who, besides the general precept of charity,
hast commanded a particular respect for parents, kindred, and benefactors;
grant, we beseech Thee, that, as she/she was the instruments by which Thy providence bestowed on us our birth, education and innumerable other blessings, so our prayers may be the means to obtain for her a speedy release from her excessive sufferings, and admittance to Thine infinite joys. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.

Eternal rest give unto her, O Lord.
And let the perpetual light shine upon her.
May she rest in peace. Amen.

Let Nothing Disturb You
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.
