Gay Gene

I have heard people say that there is in fact a “gay gene”, which is found in some people. Is this true? If not (because i honestly have a hard believeing this, if God established love being between a man and a woman), how can I disprove this?

According to the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH) “There is no evidence that shows that homosexuality is simply “genetic.” And none of the research claims there is”.

But even if such a gene existed, acting out on homosexual desires caused by the gene would still be immoral. The Catechism explains, “This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial” (CCC 2358). And, “Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that ‘homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.’ They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved” (CCC 2357).
