god does not exist

he does not exist

Philosophically one can make such an argument and still know that He is. He is beyond existence. Is that your point?

Fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” (PS 14:2)

The universe is a pretty incredibly complicated place for everything within it to have come into being by accident combined with slow evolution.

Odds are high that there was actually an intelligence behind its creation.

Odds are high that there was actually an intelligence behind its development.

#7

Tell you what - the universe is an unbelievably complicated place, and the way it operates is pretty sophisticated. Perhaps too much so for it to have all come about either by chance or by evolution.

Odds are good that there is actually an intelligence behind its creation, design and development.

Lily,

You seem absolutely Thomistic.

Would you be so kind as to put forth an argument to that effect?

#10

And you came to this conclusion how?

#11

Well, I’ve read a smattering of the Angelic Doctor in my time

Never really plunged into the deep end of his work though.

#12

And yet, you assign a male pronoun.

#13

Sure He does.
And He loves you.

When you died and found out there is a God, but it will be too late for you. :frowning:

#16

Proove it.

God is not apparent in the Material world, but only in the spiritual sense.

There has been talk of the missing matter in the universe, and also a big bang from a small point. The complexities of the universe are such, that can only be explained by an unseen force, like GOD’s influence upon all things in the universe.

DNA is something that was created, and all the history of the Earth was all created, with some evolution mixed in. Early man, like Neanderthal , Cro-Magnon , and dinosaurs, are a fact of this pysical world, but also were created, as well as some amount of evolution is in play.

I think until the original poster responds to our posts there’s not much to say. We are stabbing in the dark.

What more is there to say until the original poster responds? Besides somethings wrong with the site and needs repair.

A prominent genetic scientist recently declared that we no longer need God. After all, he said, we can create people now without God’s intervention, and without all of the imperfections that God-made people have, so why do we need him?

The scientist challenged God to a people-making contest. God accepted. God said, “I made man from the dust of the ground”, and scooped up a handful of dust. “Fine”, said the scientist and bent down to scoop up some dust.

“Hey”, said God, “get your own dust!”.
