Going downhill...

I didn’t think it possible, but I’m getting increasingly worse. The pain. The fatigue. The inability to function. My mental health is spiraling downhill too because of it. I just want it to be over. I pray with what little strength I have and it gets worse not better. I’m starting to have a crisis of faith now. I want to love God but it’s hard when everything around me is falling apart and I can’t even function on my own. I’m totally dependent on others. I beg for relief only to seemingly get worse. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong in my life, but there’s obviously something. Please, please pray for me. Especially too my spiritual and emotional health. Thank you so much everyone!

Pater & Ave
Our Lord doesn’t give us anything we can’t handle, He will keep you from failing under any cross.

praying for God to make you stronger…

ICXC NiKA

Praying that you be relieved of your pain, and praying for your spiritual and emotional health.

I’m so sorry for your pain. I too have chronic illness and can relate to the mental suffering it causes as well.

I have sometimes wondered if I am being called to be a victim soul, although I much prefer to name this calling “a cooperative assistant soul” because I don’t like identifying as a “victim”. hehe

Anyway here is a link which gives the stories of saints who suffered for many years and used it to help save souls: stgemmagalgani.com/2009/07/co-redeemers-with-christ-victim-souls.html

After reading their stories I felt like, “I am unworthy…” ::bowing repeatedly::

They are like major league MVP’s and I’m trying out for t-ball here, but you have to start somewhere I guess.

I ask those saints to pray for me and read this book at least once a year to help me keep going.

When I simply can’t take anymore, the only thing that brings me any sense of consolation is telling Jesus, “I don’t understand and I don’t like this, but I thank you because you know better than me. So thank you for this suffering. Jesus I trust in you.”

I guess the peace partly comes from acceptance, which is the final stage of the 5 stages of grief and there is a lot of grieving involved with chronic illness. ie. the way my life was “supposed” to turn out, hopes, dreams…

Anyway, I pray that you may feel Christ’s loving arms around you and for the peace that passes all understanding.

May Mary protect you from the evil one and his discouragement:

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help, or sought your intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

Do you have access to necessary medication and treatment? Regardless, please talk to your doctor. I’d give you a hug if there wasn’t a computer screen in my way :hug1:

Praying to St. Dymphna for your health & recovery.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen. †

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen. †

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle,
be our defense against the wickedness and snares
of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the
power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other
evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Amen. †

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.

Amen. †

Jesus, Help Me

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust, saying,
Jesus, help me!

In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations,
Jesus, help me!

In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Jesus, help me!

In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Jesus, help me!

When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Jesus, help me!

When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Jesus, help me!

When I throw myself on Thy tender love as Father and Savior,
Jesus, help me!

When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Jesus, help me!

When sickness and loneliness overcome me,
Jesus, help me!

Always, in weakness, falls and shortcomings of every kind,
Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †

Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.
Sweet Heart of my Jesus, grant that I may always love You more.
Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of You.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like Your Heart.

Amen. †

Prayers said. All will be well. Do not fear, the Lord is protecting you.
Do not be lonely, your guardian angel is beside you.
Be comforted, Mother will watch over you, and the
Holy Spirit will guide you.

Amen. †

Prayer Against Depression
………….By St Ignatius of Loyola

O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,
So that nothing may frighten or worry us,
For, living close to You,
We shall see Your Hand,
Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.

Amen.

Let Nothing Disturb You

Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Patience,
Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

Convert in’99,
I am praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for you and your husband this day

Prayer in Time of Suffering

Behold me, my beloved Jesus,
weighed down under the burden of my trials and sufferings,
I cast myself at Your feet,
that You may renew my strength and my courage,
while I rest here in Your Presence.
Permit me to lay down my cross in Your Sacred Heart,
for only Your infinite goodness can sustain me;
only Your love can help me bear my cross;
only Your powerful hand can lighten its weight.
O Divine King, Jesus,
whose heart is so compassionate to the afflicted,
I wish to live in You;
suffer and die in You.
During my life be to me my model and my support;
At the hour of my death,
be my hope and my refuge.

Amen.

Praying for you.

Praying hard for you.

I will pray for you.
Have you talked with your MD recently? Depression and physical pain take such a toll on your body and mind.
I have struggled with Chronic pain and depression/anxiety, and try to do without many meds. Exercise, daily sunshine, a gratitude journal ( I know that sounds silly, but writing down even the tiniest things I am grateful for helps me focus on something other than health issues or feeling depressed.
I will keep you in my prayers. Life is so hard sometimes. :gopray:

Just came from Adoration and Benediction. Remembered you to our Lord.
Peace.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created, and You shall renew the face of the earth. Amen.

O Lord, help Convert in 99 IN her

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Convert in 99. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Convert in 99’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
