A lot of people hate the Catholic Church because they believe that the church is corrupted and some people believe that the Holy Orders are deliberately leading people astray.
My parents are protestants, and I love them to death, but they sure do know how to brand anger into my heart when they say the Catholic Church for condemning the congregation as “Just a bunch of sinners” and that the pope is just an ordinary guy. Or when they say “Poor Mary, having all those people worship her… just for being a servant of God!”
I usually just handle it with silence…
And online especially, sometimes people just want to get under your skin. I remember countless times trying to diffuse people online who were hating on Catholicism… Or Christianity in general. Then I realized, they don’t deserve my response. Sometimes, the wisest thing to do is walk away (this is after a time of trying to communicate). Unless they are already anti-catholics, people will not believe a hot-headed maniac that’s just there to spit hate everywhere. That’s just not attractive.
God will judge them in the end, and it’s your job to make sure you do what you can to get them to see the light. Sometimes they refuse, that’s sad, but it’s not your fault. But it’s going to make it harder if you keep pushing.
If they were real prophets they would have grace on those who disagree with them.
People think Jesus wasn’t a jew? That’s just plain ridiculous. How could anyone think that?
Agh. Not my place, NoT my PLaCe.
