Harvard Will Host 'Reenactment' of Satanic Mass

Just because the Gnostics copied it from us earlier doesn’t make Mass less a Catholic “thing.”

The way it is described in the article, this event looks to be completely informational and academic. It’s for the Cultural Studies club…and this would be part of our culture.

Y’know, there are a lot of things which are part of our culture that we have no problem condemning, refusing to celebrate, and working to eradicate.

A Harvard student recently wrote that academic freedom was a bad thing and we should have “[urlhttp://www.thecrimson.com/column/the-red-line/article/2014/2/18/academic-freedom-justice/]=academic justice,” in which nothing that makes her uncomfortable is studied or has papers written about, certainly not at that bastion of liberalism, diversity, and tolerance known as Harvard!

If they permitted a Nazi rally, Daddygirl, do you think you could condemn it?

Normally when people see others playing with fire, they try to stop them. Harvard is encouraging them…

Kind of embarrassing, honestly. They aren’t going to use the real Eucharist, engage in any orgies, or even sacrifice an infant.

They are atheists who are using a “dark” philosophy to shock and offend the religious. They are basically the all grown up version of the guy in high school went around listening to Marilyn Manson and misquoting Nietzsche. It’s embarrassing enough when you’re 17, but even doubly so when you’re an adult who hasn’t grown up yet.

Hahaha, very true. I’m a bit older though, in my high school days that guy was listening to Ozzy .

BRAINTREE – The Archdiocese of Boston released the following statement May 7:

The Catholic community in the Archdiocese of Boston expresses its deep sadness and strong opposition to the plan to stage a “black mass” on the campus of Harvard University in Cambridge.

For the good of the Catholic faithful and all people, the Church provides clear teaching concerning Satanic worship. This activity separates people from God and the human community, it is contrary to charity and goodness, and it places participants dangerously close to destructive works of evil.

In a recent statement, Pope Francis warned of the danger of being naïve about or underestimating the power of Satan, whose evil is too often tragically present in our midst. We call upon all believers and people of good will to join us in prayer for those who are involved in this event, that they may come to appreciate the gravity of their actions, and in asking Harvard to disassociate itself from this activity.

Since this is a Harvard ‘educational and informational event,’ perhaps the sponsors could invite Satan himself to attend and answer questions.

Or maybe he’ll just show up of his own accord.

How much is the annual tuition at Harvard?

Looks like they are just a bunch of actors who don’t even believe Satan exists.

Why is this educational? Two sentences in a history course would tell a person all he/she could possibly need to know. Do they re-enact the Revolutionary War on campus, from start to finish? World War II? Do they fake a “Zimmerman” letter and walk students through every contact with it?

No. This is actually intended as “lookee thar” entertainment plus anti-religious propaganda.

I agree…

no no no you misunderstand me! I DO NOT support playing with the occult. I mean Ive read about demons and how to defeat them. I am fully against the slightest of supporting the occult, i dont even support Harry Potter! I am very interested in spiritual warfare, and aid in warfare every day. I fight legions of demons and am totally against the occult. I learn about the occult but ONLY from a Catholic point of view. Im sorry for the misunderstanding.

The occult is a dangerous, vile, disgusting thing that I would never dare touch, unless I am fighting it or learning about it’s dangers and spiritual warfare from a catholic point of view. I am interested in spiritual warfare, but trust me im on your side!

Havard will NOT host a reenactment of satanic mass.

Im curious what would happen if a consecrated host did happen to be used in a REAL satanic mass? Would the ground start shaking, would those involved suddenly drop dead or be cursed, etc.?

I imagine it would be pretty serious, thankfully it hasnt happened yet!

I also imagine ANY mass dedicated to Satan himself would only give him more power, even if they say its fake.

People already do desecrate hosts, it’s been happening for a while.

As for “giving Satan power”, I’m 99.5% sure that Satan just is what he is and don’t think we can augment him in any way. Even in terms of enjoyment or satisfaction. My understanding is that his separation from God pretty much means he’s ticked off 24/7 and there’s nothing that will quench his thirst.

True. BUT the important thing is not whether it gives satan pleasure, it is that is disgraces God.

This blog post says that someone from the Satanic Temple confirmed that it is a Consecrated Host:

And God does nothing about this???

Romans 16:17-20 NABRE

I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles, in opposition to the teaching that you learned; avoid them. For such people do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites, and by fair and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the innocent. For while your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, I want you to be wise as to what is good, and simple as to what is evil; then the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

It hasn’t happened, yet? There is a story circulating right now (no mention of its veracity from the Vatican that I know of) that a host was found abandoned and bleeding in a church in Buenos Aires, Argentina, home of Pope Francis. But, even if this story were to be a hoax, there are stories of not only misuse, but of Eucharistic Miracles.

Believe me Jesus Christ is abused in front of our very eyes, and not infrequently, by people who in their unrepentant sinfulness receive His Body as if it were indeed just bread.
