Sad, overwhelmed by emotions, too many things for me to type… Sometimes I cant feel God’s presence. I really need his guidance and more strength in faith. Jesus where are you?? Help me Jesus please… I really feel like praying… I just don’t know what to say… what prayer should I say?
No need for words…
Just rest in Him… rest in Him…parcel it all up and submit it to God.
If it’s too much to bear, pass it on to Christ, cast it all upon Him.
He awaits the invitation…
Lord, please help wildfire89 to pray everyday. Wildfire89 doesn’t have to say a word to you; he/she just needs to set aside a good chunk of time each day to spend alone united in love with you. Wildfire89 can just lift up his/her heart to you and unite his/her love of you and belief in you up to you. In that union wildfire89 will be offering up the best prayer possible, according the author of The Cloud of Unknowing. If wildfire89 doesn’t feel you present he/she can just say “help”, or “God help”, or just the word “God.” He/she can keep saying the word or phrase until you come to him/her. Wildfire could also practice “Lectio Divina” to help him/her: wildfire could read the bible until something strikes his/her heart; then wildfire can reflect on the thought and offer up prayers to you that come from that thought. If wildfire89 could get to an adoration chapel that would be helpful. He/she could just look up to you and unite his/her heart to yours with love and with faith in you. If wildfire89 needs to use words other than “God,” “help,” or “God help” then he/she could talk to you with words, but words aren’t necessary. His/her heart can speak volumes and will speak better than words. Please help wildfire89, Lord; help wildfire89 persevere through this darkness and dryness and receive the blessing of your graces in his/her soul to comfort him/her. Amen.
Our God, please ‘speak’ in me all that is necessary for the fulfilment of Your desire for my life and for anyone You hope to benefit through me.
Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit, in the infinite possibilities of Your love, You know what must be ‘spoken’.
Whatever entreaty and faith must be offered to obtain this ‘utterance’, please ‘speak’ also in me—for only You can.
I ask this for fulfilment of Your loving will in my life, and for the healing, repentance and conversion of souls whom You desire to save or bless through me.
I ask, and believe, that You continually utter Yourself in me according to Your eternal desire. Thereby, with my cooperation, You will fulfil my portion of Your plan of redemption. I trust this to the name of the divine and risen Saviour who shares our humanity.
Soul of Christ, sanctify me;
Body of Christ, save me;
Blood of Christ, inebriate me;
Water from the side of Christ, wash me;
Passion of Christ, strengthen me;
O good Jesus, hear me;
Within Your wounds, hide me;
Let me never be separated from You;
From the evil one, protect me;
At the hour of my death, call me;
and bid me come to You;
That with Your saints,
I may praise You forever and ever.
You can always say the Jesus Prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, have mercy on me a sinner.
(That’s its full form.)
This is the ONE prayer that makes the demons tremble and is a test–they will NEVER call Jesus “Lord.”
And as someone pointed out, Jesus stands for Just Exactly Suits Us Sinners!
When you don’t “feel Him”, that means He’s really the closest!
Praying from today’s Liturgy of the Hours:
O God, come to my aid.
– O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Why not praying the prayer spoke by Jesus himself:
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done,
on earth as it as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread and
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil.
and amother one for our blessed Mother:
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,and
blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us now, and
at the hour of our death.
Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, as is and ever shall be, world without end.
Praying for the Holy Spirit to guide you.
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen
