Herman Cain Sexual Harassment Charges: Fourth Woman Makes Allegations Against Candidate

A fourth woman

is making sexual harassment allegations against Herman Cain, claiming that the Republican presidential candidate exhibited inappropriate behavior when he was serving as head of the National Restaurant Association more than a decade ago, according to Michael van Poppel at BNO News.

The woman reportedly making the accusations will hold a press conference with her attorney Gloria Allred on Monday.
This is getting out of hand.

Its amazing how Herman Cain has been alive for 66 years without any allegations made against him before or after he worked at the NRA for 3 years.

Bill Clinton was noted for his boorish, offensive behavior for his entire life.

Source?

Yes, anonymous accusers who have remained in complete obscurity until Cain surged in the polls.

Hatchet job.

Can we just stick to the issues. I could care less about what a woman thought she saw or thought she heard 12 years ago and is offended by it so much NOW that she has to speak up about it.

Where were these accusers when Cain launched his campaign and was polling in the single digits?

That’s different. People expect Democrats to lack the capacity to restrain their sexual impulses.

I’m starting to believe there’s some validity to these claims. Generally for cases like these, I say I don’t know and I’l let the system work it out. But Cain is using the famous tactic of saying “I don’t recall” in response to the allegations. Very common technique to be used by someone who may be guilty. Sexual harassment complaints are not things you forget

Coming forward with saying you were sexually harassed is a very difficult thing for someone to do. As someone who has seen the legal system at work, the first woman who came forward recently may have been in talks with lawyers for months on coming forward

Gennifer Flowers:
In 1992 Clinton denied a 12 year affair with Gennifer Flowers. She taped phone calls with him but he claimed they were false. After appearing on television branding Flowers a liar and strongly denying the relation, Clinton has again changed his story. Now he has admitted to at least some of the affair.

Paula Jones:
Paula Jones sued Bill Clinton after alleging he exposed himself to her in an Arkansas hotel room. After inviting her to what was supposed to be a promotion. Jones claims she was pressured by Clinton as he made advances on her. Though the administration fought the entire way, refusing to cooperate with investigation while constantly attacking Jones’s credibility, the case has been successful in revealing many more scandals of the Clinton presidency. Eventually Bill Clinton has been ordered to pay Paula Jones’s lawyers nearly $90,000 to compensate for false testimony and this is in addition to the $850,000 the president has paid Mrs Jones to settle her sexual harassment lawsuit.

Monica Lewinsky
Monica Lewinsky made 37 visits to the White House AFTER she left to another job. She admitted in taped phone calls to a long affair with Bill Clinton in the oval office. Her account has only been reinforced by an immunity agreement in which she gave testimony of the affair. Also suggested was that Bill Clinton gave her instructions to hide the matter. A Secret service agent testified of escorting her to Clinton. Lewinsky turned over a stained dress from which DNA has positively traced the stain to Bill Clinton.

The Washington Post: p. A32. September 13, 1998. washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/clinton/timeline.htm.

In November 1998, Broaddrick gave a statement in an interview with Dateline NBC. The interview, broadcast in February 1999, centered around Broaddrick’s accusation that Clinton had raped her on April 25, 1978, during his first campaign for the governorship of the U.S. state of Arkansas, at a time when Clinton was the Attorney General for the state.

Really? How often does one make the accusation with a publicist on hand?

I don’t know.

Is it hard to do?

Regarding Clinton’s sexual harrasment of Paula Jones, Just to add on to SamH’s post, Isikoff, then at the Washington Post, “brought the Paula Jones sexual harassment case to his editors … (and) they refused to run the story.” The matter was settled for $850,000 in November 1998:

If that doesn’t speak of liberal bias I don’t know what does.

I’m a university student, not a publicist. How would I know?

I’m sorry but now that Gloria ‘Ambulance chaser’ Allred is in the mix, this scandal has lost all credibility… SMH.

I agree, it’s a circus now.

Report: New Cain Accuser to Hold Press Conference Today With Gloria Allred in NYC:

Some are saying this will hurt Cain, others are saying this could benefit Cain because it looks like this is losing credibility with Gloria Allred’s involvement.

When accusers are anonymous and/or have **no proof **of their allegations, they should not be reported or repeated.

" Thou shall not bear false witness against thy Neighbor" - God’s Commandment.

CCC -**" ** 2477 Respect for the reputation of persons forbids every attitude and word likely to cause them unjust injury.
He becomes guilty:

  • of rash judgment who, even tacitly, assumes as true, without sufficient foundation, the moral fault of a neighbor;
  • of detraction who, without objectively valid reason, discloses another’s faults and failings to persons who did not know them;
  • of calumny who, by remarks contrary to the truth, harms the reputation of others and gives occasion for false judgments concerning them. "

These accusations appear to be politically motivated by those who want Obama re-elected, or want a loser Republican candidate.

That’s funny. Cain said the Perry campaign was behind this.

Could be both, of course.

Democrats would not want to hurt Cain’s chances of becoming the nominee.
