Holocaust Museum Shooter a Socialist who Hated Christianity, Conservatives, Jews

WASHINGTON, June 12, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The online ravings of the man who shot and killed a security guard in Washington’s Holocaust Memorial Museum on June 10th show that he does not fit the description of the “right wing” or “conservative Christian” extremist that has been portrayed in the liberal mainstream media since the shooting.

In one of many online tirades, the shooter, 88 year-old James von Brunn wrote, “Christianity and the Holocaust are hoaxes. ‘Christianity’ destroyed Roman Civilization. The ‘Holocaust’ Religion is destroying Western Civilization.” Between them, he said, they destroyed the “Aryan gene pool.”

He wrote, “socialism represents the future of the West.”

This is a terrible tragedy. I believe, from what I’ve read, that this was probably a murder/suicide kind of thing. How old was this guy??? And he brought a 22 to do this deed? That’s not a serious weapon of destruction, but enough… obviously. This individual wanted to be killed and wanted to go out in the news and that’s what happened. And, of course, we’re talking about him and not his victim. How crazy is our society?

So the shooter was not a typical christian conservative as the main stream press has been repeating since this horrific killing? As Michelle Malkin said, when a crazy guy shoots a liberal it has the fingers of millions of conservatives pulling the trigger but when a crazy guy kills a conservative it is the finger/hand of one person pulling the trigger. Thank you for posting this and the link. Pray for all the victims of these killers.

Anti-semitism finds a more welcoming home on the left than on the right these days.

Socialist Hugo Chavez, for example, has already extended a warm welcome to the anti-semite Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on his fraudulent election victory.

I am not sure if their rhetoric is purely machiavellian hypocrisy, or if they actually believe in their own rhetoric and are incapable of seeing the absurdity in such such duplicity.

And I don’t know which scenario would be worse either. …

Are we being informed by agenda-driven liars or just inane fools who are actually sincere in such idiocy?

Which would be the worst scenario?

Von Brunn’s confused racist fanaticism and conspiracy-laden views defy reasonable political classification, said Ben Smith, writing for the Politico website.

Ben Smith really ought to read Jonah Golderg’s Liberal Fascism if he truly want to make sense of this world.

I say the former but it they are under the delusion that it is the later. :onpatrol:

You’ve apparently been reading different news stories than I have. Pretty much everything I’ve seen indicates just how wacky he was.

Nazism and Communism are not opposites. Socialism and freedom are opposites.

Agreed. Marxism, Fascism, and Nazism are all slices of the same Socialist pie.

Why would folks try to make a political point out of this crazed man’s supposed political leanings? Particularly after the media is accused of such irrelevancy?

I wish you woud ask Napolitano that, particularly in light of the DHS report regarding certain genuine Christian concerns.

Why do I have to ask her?

Let me ask you a question: Have you ever heard of far-right terrorist hate organizations hiding behind their supposed status as a Christian “church”. I can think of one in Hayden Lake, Idaho. There was one in East Peoria, too.

Why do you bring up “far-right terrorist hate organizations”? It looks as though you are trying to make a political point out of their supposed political leanings.

I brought up terrorist organizations in regard to Napolitano. Isn’t that her bailiwick?

Some of them on the far right call themselves Christian churches. It was the dispute as to the name of a church which eventually led to right-winger Matthew Hale getting a 40 year jolt in the federal system.

You know of any far-left organizations which are supposedly Christian churches?

AH! I get the idea now! Terrorists should not be brought up in conjunction with mention of far left, because only far right are terrorists.

It took a few minutes for that to click.

Who said that? This thread (and some posts) are getting off the subject.

James W. von Brunn’s Obama is missing!
*There is no Obama documentation – no records – no paper trail – none – this is no accident. It is being done on purpose with Media help…WHY DON’T WE SEE ONE WORD OF THIS IN ANY OF THE MEDIA? … we all remember how the press went to great lengths to find out every move that President Bush made … finally unable to come up with anything factual, so they created it! When their accusations were proven empty, they refused to retract one word of the fraud they perpetrated on the American people…The same Media went to great lengths to scandalize & destroy Sarah Palin. She maintains a 91% approval rating among voters from all parties, thanks to the Internet and investigative journalists who don’t work for the mainstream media… not a word about any of this from the Media. If it were not for the Internet and talk radio, American citizens would become the servants of a dishonest & conspiratorial Media…WHERE ARE THE GOOD PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY - ARE YOU OUT THERE??? *

Look, the guy was a nut. Even his son is now saying that he wishes it was his father who died in the firefight, not the guard.

I don’t care about the man’s politics. I care about his soul. Pray for him. Fighting over a dead guy is pointless.
