Homosexual Urban Legends - the series

Homosexuals claim that “heterosexuals” molest most children but statistics show that homosexuals molest at far higher rates than do heterosexuals.
[list]
*]Rev. Paul Shanley, a retired Catholic priest was arrested on May 4, 2002 in San Diego on three counts of child rape. Shanley had a history of molesting boys that went back to 1967. He was at the founding meeting of the North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) and while in San Diego operated a bed & breakfast for homosexuals in Palm Springs. Shanley has openly called for “man-boy” love.
*]David Carlton Nurmi, was arrested in Florida on April 26, 2002, for possession of child pornography and for molesting a 15-year-old boy.
*]Geoffrey Cornish, a well-respected Solana Beach, California therapist was sentenced to 23 years in prison in September, 2001 for sexually molesting boys who came to him for therapy. Cornish, who is HIV-positive, was also a coach for the Torrey Pines High School surf team. Cornish told police he had been molested himself by a Boy Scout leader for three years when he was living in England.

aaauuugghhh…this is icky…and can we really win a stats shoot out? sick is sick is sick is sick…let’s protect the children and pray, united with the hearts of Jesus and Mary, for the men and women who have brought such a scourge upon the earth.

#3

I’m with LSK- protect the children, and don’t get hung up on the statistics.

#4

Oh! and Buffalo! I do NOT mean to imply that you are sick in anyway for wanting to educate us…so if it looked that way, mea culpa! I know you were only trying to do a good deed…

I think you are missing the point of the site.

The Agenda

#6

You have read this book? I don’t see it in my public library online card catalog…that means I must either request it or buy it for 19.95

#7

yes, I did miss the point. Thanks buffalo!

#8

Oh no, I got it…and I understand what the good Rev. is doing and I think he has made a very strong argument. There is another book, and forgive me because I cannot remember the author’s name, The Politics of Deviance, in which she discusses the fact that society has sort of lost the ‘right’ to determine what is normal and acceptable. Instead, many of the actions once considered outside the pale of acceptable behavior have, over the years, become ‘lifestyle choices’ or considered just another aspect of humanity; therefore, she argues, that the protection of this behavior has become something to be argued as a political issue.

I sure wish I could remember her name.

and there is this article ( basic in comparison to the book) “The Overhauling Of Straight America,”

oh goody, conspiracies and agendas, I am shocked at this “reverend” it would appear he has an agenda of his own, contrary to that of most reverends. This is completely ridiculous, most improtant book in twenty years is absolutely stupid; harry potter is more important than this book, it would appear there is less fantasy in it as well: “the agenda going to take over America” that is complete jargon.

If you lived in America you might see it.

I think we need to get these statistics into the mainstream, I remember watching the news the other day and hearing somone comment that most pedofiles werent homosexual. If 1-2% of the population accounts for 1/3 of all cases of child molestation, there is obviously a link.

I always wonder about those self identified Catholics who choose to deny or defend the homosexual agenda for our society (I can only speak for the USA). And to top it off, this poster recommends “harry potter is more important than this book”? What is one to say to such a fellow Catholic? …put your head back in the hole? … :nope:

Send the link to your local newspapers. Challenge them to report on it.

The problem with saying there is any kind of specific conspiracy or agenda is that it is like trying to ‘prove’ a negative. However, there has definitely been a shift and a push in the last sixty years to accept behavior that was once not acceptable or was, at the most, tolerated in a quiet way. And, as each level has shifted, another level has risen demanding to be recognized and afforded rights as a lifestyle choice or a matter of genetic predisposition - which, of course, has yet to be scientifically proven.

Fifteen years ago, the idea of a Man/Boy Love SOCIETY actively working to promote homosexual pedophilia as a lifestyle choice would have been laughed at by mainstream Americans. Today, it is very prevelant, and anyone who questions their validity and right to be considered has their tolerance and ability to accept a diverse society challenged.

Anyone Ive ever known would laugh at that today too…and most are supportive of gay marriage. I wouldnt call it very prevalent…actually most people I’ve mentioned it to dont know what it is. I realize some wacky people like at the ALCU would say youre being intolerant, but every person I can think of would certainly say this is wrong, disgusting, and intolerable.

#17

another tool we can use is to identify political candidates (like this guy Eliot Spitzer  ) who support the gay agenda

and do whatever we can to keep them from being elected

Exactly my point. I like to consider myself to be a tolerant, loving and accepting person. So, where do I challenge myself to stand firm and say, “No, I disagree…this is not acceptable behavior and no amount of whining on your part or calling ME a bigot is going to change that!”.

I think it is time I become a grown up and start to stand firm.

I see your point. For example, I just did a google search entry, for the key words “gay is okay” it returned 5, 900, 000 entries; for “homophobia” it returned with 3, 020,000 entries. Can one say agenda? (even if society has moved beyond the shock phase). The whole goal of the homosexual/gay agenda folks is to normalize and legitimize this immoral sexual lifestyle. The only thing that they need to promulgate it is to get people of good will to say nothing. The solution: say something in your circle of influence/earshot (offense meant for those who would put their head in the sand as the darkness gets darker).

“normalize”. That was the word I was searching for and which had escaped me. Thank you!

I think the Catholic Catechism is quite clear on the subject that all human life and all human people are to be afforded dignity and love, and no discrimination is to be tolerated, but sin and sinful behavior is what it is…and when good people are ‘shamed’ into silence (and I admit, in the past I have been shamed into silence) out of fear of being labled as intolerant, then the Evil One has scored a little victory.
