Homosexuality takes Congress by storm

The two openly homosexual members of the U.S. House of Representatives have recruited 50 of their colleagues to officially join them in promoting the homosexual agenda in Congress.

Democrats Barney Frank of Massachusetts and Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin are the only open homosexuals serving in Congress. They have joined with Republicans Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Florida and Christopher Shays of Connecticut, and 50 other Democrats to create the House Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Caucus. Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, says it is a sad day when Congress enshrines official promotion of sexual immorality.

Disgusting! It truly is a sad day when enshrines official promotion of sexual immorality. I also find it disgusting that two openly gay persons were allowed to be elected to Congress! :(

Why stop there? Let’s disenfranchise jaywalkers! At least there’re laws against that!

Yep, I’m right with you, Midrath. People elected to Congress must not be gay, divorced, chronic masturbators, over-eaters, or anything else. To elect a sinner to a government post would be an abomination in the eyes of God!

There have been other openly gay members of Congress in recent times. Not all of them were Democrats either.

Ok, good. Now we can create a straight, religious, white man’s caucus. No gays allowed, no women allowed, and no races other than non hispanic whites allowed. Cool.

This has nothing to do with disenfranchising anybody, but preventing them from forcing the rest of society to accept their lifestyle as normal.

People have no control over what ethnic group or gender they are, but they do have control over their lifestyle.

Ok, good. Now we can create a straight, religious, white man’s caucus. No gays allowed, no women allowed, and no races other than non hispanic whites allowed. Cool.

There used to be one. It was called “Congress.”

lol

:o

:frowning:

With all the noise they make, you would think they were more than just the 1-2% of the population that they actually are. Frankly, I’m tired that the 98% or so of non-homosexuals in this country have been held hostage by the homosexual agenda for the past decade or so.

The only way Congress can make changes in support of anti-Catholic values is they are elected to Congress.

So vote them out! I do every time I get the opportunity. And if they are in office, call/write/email/sign petitions whatever it takes and voice your protest of their vote. Your voice counts and they need to start hearing your voice as well as mine.

And forget that old adage about not discussing religion and politics with your neighbors/family/friends. Let your voice be heard. It may start a revolution to protect real Catholic values.
And if you think it can’t be done, then you haven’t made a real effort. I like the voters’ guide on Faithful Catholic citizenship from Catholic answers. Worth checking out.

So what are you prepared to do about it?

I have had it with voting alone. It’s time to kick it up a notch. No matter how we vote, our society keeps moving to the left. Time to take off the gloves, get loud, and get angry.

Those who are sick and tired of being oppressed have already beat you to it!

Members of Congress are chosen by the people. I exercise my right to voice my opinions by voting, of course. Can you explain what your name “leftistdestroye” means?

Frankly, I’m tired that the 98% or so of non-homosexuals in this country have been held hostage by the homosexual agenda for the past decade or so.

Ahem. It is select groups within the heterosexual community who are trying to bar homosexuals from legal marriage. The heterosexual community is hardly being held hostage; more like the other way round.

The fact that public schools thrust books like “Heather Has Two Mommies” onto Kindergarten students is just one illustration of the homosexual agenda and it’s broad plan to force acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle as morally equivalent to heterosexual marriage onto a heterosexual majority. For being only, at most, 2% of the population, it’s pretty surprising how much of our educational resources are being invested in sensitivity training and gay pride celebrations at the elementary school level.

For an overview of the homosexual indoctrination of America’s children:

missionamerica.com/agenda.php

Training children to be tolerant?! Nooooo! We mustn’t do that. The fact of the matter is that public schools are not supposed to teach from a religious standpoint. And thank God for that! I’m glad that the public schools are doing their best to promote tolerance of diversity in small children, even in the face of parents who think otherwise. If one wants his or her child exposed only to his or her worldview, than one should either homeschool that child or find a school that teaches those views. How about not holding the entire school system hostage to the religious camps?

I do homeschool and there are many of us who do!!!

Love the sinner, hate the sin. We should not be “tolerant” of the sin of homosexual activities, just as we should not be “tolerant” of abortion or rape. To teach children that homosexual unions are not an offense to God and that homosexual intercourse is a natural alternative to heterosexual marital relations is just plain wrong.

Where have I advocated violence against active homosexuals? That’s right, I haven’t. Speaking out against the homosexual agenda to indoctrinate our children that such “unions” are an acceptable alternative to heterosexual marriage is not “intolerant”, it’s part of our duty as Catholics to oppose those aspects of our society that are immoral, be it abortion or homosexual unions or pornography, and so on…

The Catechism clearly states that living a homosexual lifestyle, specifically engaging in homosexual sex is a sin:

Chastity and homosexuality

**2357 **Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,140 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."141 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

**2358 **The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

**2359 **Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

You can find this in the Catechism on the Vatican website:

Nowhere does Catholic teaching tell us we must be tolerant of the homosexual lifestyle.

Seems to me the homosexual lobby has already taken over Congress and many of the courts. It’s about to take over the White House as well. It took the mainstream media long ago. I don’t think we have even begun to see how strongly the homosexual agenda is going to be forced on the American people, and very soon.
